Light Test went wrong

in Photography Lovers2 years ago

Temu got big in our country in the last few months, it is everywhere, where ever i click on any social network an ad for Temu is there. And we all know ads work :)

After resisting for a while i got an offer for a backpack for 2$, so i had to see how a backpack for 2$ looks like. But you need to buy stuff for at least 17$ to get free shipping... So i clicked away. (Backpack is decent, nothing spectacular, regular price is something like 25$)

After some clicking, i got to battery powered lights (i am a sucker for battery powered lights). So i ordered a Rl 30sl Rechargeable Handheld Rgb Led for 9$.

As someone who ordered a decent amount from AliExpress i know that quality of the product is usually a gamble, especially cheap ones. I mean i still have my photography backpack, yangnuo flash and 2 lightstands for 6-7 years now. But there are some things that i long forgot that i ordered because it was bad.

So an RGB LED battery powered light with a name of Rl 30sl Rechargeable Handheld Rgb Led, 10 million different mods and what not for 9$ i was not sure what to expect. I must say i was surprised. It is plastic, but i can't say that plastic is worst than my Godox tube. The daylight modes is pretty bright, color modes not so, for standard photography (still need to find subjects to test it out).

But will it work for lightpainting?

Well it will.

If only i didn't miss the focus and noticed it when i got home and transferred the photos to the computer 😂

I did set everything, focused on the wheel, changed it to manual focus on the lens, did few test shots, was not happy with exposure as it was too bright so i changed the aperture to f/5.6. And somewhere in that process i must how accidentally touch the focus ring and move it.

Because, how the f do you miss focus on f/5.6 on a stationary subject 😂

On the red one, it is less noticeable, especially if you look it at a small screen. So i am sharing a white, badly edited, one. Because you need to own and share your mistakes, so you and others learn 🤣

It was just a quick test, i will certainly do this again in next few days. It it is a fun process, but it does need a lot more work to get the lines and shape of the car to look better.

Still looks interesting and even kind of cool to me :) Btw really curious to see the 2$ backpack :D

lightpainting is interesting because it is something you can't see live.

original price for backpack is 22$ so it is decent. interesting that they can sell it at 2$ (new user discount). nothing really spectacular but it looks like it is made ok, zipers feel ok, not to cheap. I didn't test the water resistance, i will probably not :D (now i see it does not say it anywhere, it did on the ad on instagram :) )

oh and it is SWISS so it must be great :D

Looks decent indeed and if it´s from Switzerland, it must be of great quality. Cannot believe they sell it for 2 bucks. Congrats on this bargain :)

Wow, unbelievable

thanks. did another one tonight, in focus :) will see how will it turn out.

Well, I don’t really understand much about photography and this light, lol
It looks appealing to me though and how about the led light and the other things you ordered
Were they good?

the other light was 2$ with a motion sensor. it is chap plastic, sensor is not so great but it works :D

Will a $2 backpack be good🤔🤔
