Another day of the fire, another Sunday of fire! The heatwave has blanketed the part of Europe where I live. The summers are starting earlier and earlier and are getting harder to bear. Because of the dangers that the excessive temperature outside can cause to my tired heart, I had to spend this Sunday in the house. I had to give up my usual walk.
Memories Of A Recent Trip
Well, I got to quote myself! That's how I started posting 20 days ago and nothing has changed, in fact, the heat has become even more aggressive and now, as I write, the temperature outside is heading towards 40 degrees Celsius in the shade!
I don't understand how so many people don't believe in global warming! When it is so obvious that something is changing. Of course, the climate is cyclical, it goes from ice ages to warm spells, it has been that way for hundreds of millions of years, but it is different now. Because now humans are contributing to the changing climate factors!
He who doesn't believe, each to his own opinion and belief. Some belief in science, in hundreds of years of observations and research, believe in the opinion of those who study these phenomena.
Others believe in the claims of opinion leaders who, in order to achieve their goals, i.e. to gain political power, are proving freedom that does not exist. Freedom as anarchy. I won't go any further with this topic because it is a great pain to see how people dig their own holes but unfortunately, they will drag us all into it!
I've left the excessive heat which is probably to blame for my slide into social and political issues. Excessive heat forces me to spend another Sunday indoors, protected, as it were, from the scorching sun.
Everything unpleasant has a remedy and my remedy to the heat outside is not air conditioning. My remedy is the memory of pleasant things! I try to remember things that refresh me...
Like the flowers in my garden after the rain!
It hasn't rained in over two months. Now my garden is unrecognizable. The flowers have been the worst affected. They are almost dry, although I water them as much as I can.
I'm looking at pictures from the past...
Roses!
Surely, those of them who are left remember this beneficial rain.

This is unbelievable! Looking at these photos I can feel the coolness of the rain on my skin. The optimistic side of me makes me hope that I will be able to be under real rain soon, even if the weather forecast promises another month of drought.
Hydrangea and the rest of the yard were also under the benevolence of water from heaven.

After my serving of virtual refreshment, I must explain why I continue to call this hard-to-bear Sunday beautiful and sublime. Because it seems to contradict what I said in the first part. The explanation is very simple...
I'm old enough to consider every new day lived as beautiful and sublime!
That's how I want to live from now on. I know it's hard to maintain this opinion and I know that there will come days that will be far from beautiful and sublime. I know I will fall apart, that's for sure, but as much as I can, I will try to stay optimistic.

The beauty of flowers always makes our eyes very comfortable when looking at them. and every photo you share today is amazing. thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for this beautiful appreciation, it was a great pleasure!
both have a nice day.
That's the best!
I hope you get some rain soon I to am dreaming of it we need it so badly
And as for Climate change I totally agree with you it’s so clear we humans have affected the weather patterns
I resist using the term global warming as the deniers jump on that when we have unusually colder spells but that is all part and parcel of climate change
I didn't know you had the same problem with rain. Hopefully, it's not that bad though, it's happened in the past and we got over it.
I am sure we will get over it everything is so dry here but I don’t think any water restrictions yet
Fortunately, I don't have any water restrictions either. It's forecast to cool down next week.
Neighboring city’s have restrictions here they just imposed restrictions here but they are nominal no watering between 9AM snd 5PM
Seems kind of pointless most water before the sun comes up or goes down
However, watering at midday, when it is so hot, is not efficient.
Exactly i normally water in the evening as the sun goes down

Wow.. a very beautiful rose flower. Thanks for sharing with us these awesome photos guys!
With pleasure!
Upsetting watching so much burning under extreme heat conditions, we remember times when weather was what related to as normal, that was when change should have started toward curbing many things done.
Cyclical to a degree, our world is changing, after extreme floods in April little to no rain here either, we know extremes with little knowledge on what is yet to arrive.
Hope the rains arrive soon!

We don't know what will happen next, but we can't exclude a pleasant surprise. We may get a reprieve with this global warming, of course, no thanks to us... The world is so divided, some don't understand, some don't want to...
Thank you very much!
No matter what happens or why..., we still live one day at a time, pleasant surprises or letdowns we must face them.
I agree with you!
We just have had the high heatwave for two days. For us, the summer has started late because nights were cooler just before it. I think the weather will be hot like this in August, too.
We had the last rain two weeks ago. I water my flowers with the rain drops I collect in my garden. Perhaps, this help a little bit to stop the global warming.
By the way, I thanked you for the supports here in my last post.
Thank you, I have to look. Sorry, I can't keep up with the posts and comments. I don't know what's going on but I'm in over my head!
Take care yourself.
Thank you!

I think for us here, the heat drives some people to go to the malls for the air conditioning
The same situation here!
It's sad everywhere
And the future doesn't look good at the moment!
