I had a meeting with this dog's human. The dog was initially very cautious and distrustful - apparently, due to the abuse she suffered while growing up as a stray in rural Texas - but eventually she had warmed up to yours truly and allowed him not only to take her pictures, but also to scratch her. She even licked his face a couple of times.

Good that her conditions have been better. Has Rhode island got with Rhodes Island, Greece?
That's a good question.
I know that Roger Williams was effectively the founder of the colony that became the State of Rhode Island - but I don't know what the connection was to Rhodes in Greece. I suspect there is some - but I don't know what that would be.
Maybe has connection with Greek immigrants.
