My City in Photos (En/ Es)

I love to walk through the streets of my city and just because I like what I see, I love to take pictures of my daily life, when I'm shopping, having a coffee or just enjoying the scenery. Many people on the street, when they see me stop and take a picture, stare at me curiously, but only I know why I do what I do: to have my own memories of my days and to share them with you.

And the fact is that photographs tell us about that person who took the time to capture an image, so in this case I'm talking about me. Because every photograph has a story behind it: maybe it was on the way to meet friends, or simply the daily walk down a street or avenue. Thanks to these photos many of us have that before and after of a place. I hope that someday my images will give that approach.

Me encanta caminar por las calles de mi ciudad y sin más, simplemente porque me gusta lo que veo, tomar fotos de esa cotidianidad, cuando ando haciendo mis compras, tomándome un café o simplemente disfrutando del paisaje. Muchas personas en la calle, al ver que me detengo y tomo una foto, se quedan viéndome curiosas, pero solo yo sé por qué lo que hago: para tener mis propios recuerdos de mis días y para compartirlo con ustedes.

Y es que las fotografías nos hablan de esa persona que se tomó el tiempo de capturar una imagen, entonces en este caso les estoy hablando de mí. Porque cada fotografía tiene una historia detrás: tal vez fue en el camino al encuentro con amigos, o simplemente el recorrido diario por una calle o una avenida. Gracias a estas fotos muchos tenemos ese antes y después de un lugar. Espero que algún día mis imágenes den ese enfoque.

There are many places that are worthy of photographing, that possess a beauty as if time stood still in them; those spaces are my favorites, I love those that are surrounded by mystery and antiquity. I always imagine what it was like to live in those places and here in my city, there are many of them. For those who are wondering, I am in Caracas, Venezuela. A city with a contrast between the urban and the ancient, which I love.

On the other hand, you can “see” so much in a photo. From the people that without noticing are immortalized, to a specific day that remains in our memory. I am a novice when it comes to photography, but I love to share my feelings through them, whether I am happy, sad, nostalgic or excited. There is so much we can share, so I'll make you a little recount of those images that one day I took in one of those moments when I loved my city. Greetings!

Hay muchos lugares que son dignos de fotografiar, que poseen una belleza como si el tiempo se parara en ellos; esos espacios son mis favoritos, me encantan esos que están rodeados como de misterio y antigüedad. Siempre me imagino lo que se pudo vivir en esos lugares y aquí en mi ciudad, hay muchos de ellos. Para quienes se pregunten estoy en Caracas, Venezuela. Una ciudad con un contraste entre lo urbano y lo antiguo, cuestión que me encanta.

Por otro lado, se puede "ver" tanto en una foto. Desde las personas que sin percatarse quedan inmortalizadas, hasta un día específico que quedó en nuestra memoria. Yo en esto de las fotografías soy una novata, pero me encanta compartir mi sentir a través de ellas, tanto cuando estoy feliz, triste, con nostalgia, emocionada. Hay tanto que podemos compartir, así es que les hago un pequeño recuento de esas imágenes que un día cualquiera tome en uno de esos momentos en que ame a mi ciudad. ¡Saludos!
