Hello HIVEs!
My image idea today is about research and development. In a dark laboratory, the next generation is being created. Of what? Take your pick! Test-tube babies, virus...? Are humans aware of the consequences and are the consequences controllable? It's like Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's sorcerer's apprentice.
"Oh, the word to change him back
into what he was before!
Oh, he runs, and keeps on going!
Wish you'd be a broom once more!"
Frightening, isn't it? At least in the poem "Sorcerer's Apprentice", the master ends the spell.
In meiner heutigen Bildidee geht es um die Forschung und Entwicklung. In einem finsteren Labor entsteht die nächste Generation. Von was? Sucht es euch aus! Retortenbabys, Viren...? Ist der Mensch sich der Folgen bewusst und sind die Folgen beherrschbar? Es geht hier zu wie in Johann Wolfgang von Goethes Zauberlehrling.
"Ach, ich merk es! Wehe! wehe!
Hab ich doch das Wort vergessen!
Ach, das Wort, worauf am Ende
Er das wird, was er gewesen."
Beängstigend oder? Zu mindest im Gedicht "Zauberlehrling" beendet der Meister den Zauber.

The Meaning
In the picture you see a person injecting a new sequence into an existing module. This is represented by the light figure. The existing module was represented by a blue illuminated rectangular light blade and the new sequence by an orange illuminated round light blade. The star in the middle underlines the new.
Auf dem Bild seht ihr eine Person, die eine neue Sequenz in ein vorhandenes Modul spritzt. Dies wird durch die Lichtfigur dargestellt. Das bereits vorhandene Modul wurde durch ein blau beleuchtetes rechteckiges Light-Blade und die neue Sequenz durch ein orange beleuchtetes rundes Light-Blade dargestellt. Der Stern in der Mitte unterstreicht das Neue.

This image was more difficult to realise than I initially thought. First I worked on the illumination of the model. The light figure should be easily recognisable despite the white overalls. Therefore, the light should not hit the centre of the picture too hard.
Dieses Bild war schwieriger zu realisieren, als ich anfangs dachte. Zuerst arbeitete ich an der Ausleuchtung des Models. Die Lichtfigur sollte trotz des weissen Overalls gut zu erkennen sein. Deshalb sollte das Licht nicht zu stark auf die Mitte des Bildes treffen.

The Set
Then the light figure was tested with the help of my remote-controlled rotation tool.
I had already reported about the tool here.
As light source I used a Magilight with a round and a rectangular Light-Blade.
In my last post I described that during the light painting the white ceiling is disturbing. As you can see in the following picture, I have now solved this problem by also covering the ceiling with black fabric.
There you can see the set. Since I shot everything with the same lens, I had to place the model appropriately in the picture. Two stacks of books served to lift Geane to the right height.
Dann wurde die Lichtfigur mit Hilfe meines Ferngesteuerten Rotationstool getestet.
Ich hatte an dieser Stelle bereits über das Tool berichtet.
Als Lichtquelle verwendete ich ein Magilight mit einem runden- und einem rechteckigen Light-Blade.
In meinem meiner letzten Posts habe ich beschrieben, dass sich während des Lightpaintings, die weisse Decke störend bemerkbar macht. Wie ihr auf dem folgenden Bild erkennen könnt, habe ich dieses Problem jetzt gelöst, indem ich auch die Decke mit schwarzen Stoff abgedeckt habe.
Dort ist das Set abgebildet. Da ich alles mit dem selben Objektiv aufgenommen habe, musste ich das Model passend ins Bild stellen. Zwei Stapel Bücher dienten dazu, Geane auf die richtige Höhe zu hieven.
Before that, I tested the set under facilitated "combat conditions". I often work in pharmaceutical plants and know what it means to wear these clothes for a long time. It becomes very uncomfortable after a short time.
Zuvor testete ich das Set unter erleichterten "Gefechtsbedingungen". Ich arbeite oft in pharmazeutischen Anlagen und weiss, was es bedeutet, diese Kleidung für eine längere Zeit zu tragen. Es wird nach kurzer Zeit sehr unangenehm.

What Is Light Painting?
Light painting is a unique art form. As a rule, the darkness is illuminated by the artist with various light sources and traces of light are painted into the picture with various lighting tools. Various techniques are used, such as camera rotation or other movements of the camera during exposure. The creative possibilities are almost unlimited. When using ND filters, this technique can also be used in daylight. All images were taken during a single exposure. Apart from denoising, sharpening, cropping and possibly adjusting the white balance, the images are not processed on the computer.
Lichtmalerei ist eine einzigartige Kunstform. In der Regel wird die Dunkelheit mit diversen Lichtquellen vom Künstler ausgeleuchtet und Lichtspuren mit diversen Lichtwerkzeugen ins Bild gemalt. Dabei kommen verschiedene Techniken zum Einsatz, wie Kamerarotation oder andere Bewegungen der Kamera während der Belichtung. Die kreativen Möglichkeiten sind nahezu unbegrenzt. Bei Einsatz von ND-Filtern kann diese Technik auch bei Tageslicht angewand werden. Alle Bilder wurden während einer einzigen Belichtung aufgenommen. Abgesehen vom Entrauschen, Schärfen, Beschneiden und eventuellem Anpassen des Weißabgleichs werden die Bilder nicht am Computer bearbeitet.

Danke! Man wächst mit den Aufgaben...😊 Da gibt es noch viel zu tun. Es ist halt wieder eine Erfahrung, die ich weiter ausbauen möchte. Ich hatte leider noch nicht die Zeit, das bis zur Perfektion zu bringen. Für einen ersten Versuch (eigentlich 2) fand ich das Ergebnis ok. Für das Modell ist es auch nicht leicht.
