RE: Han Clothing Photo Shooting [EN/DT/中/日]

in Photography Lovers2 years ago

I wanted to speak up and give you some tips on the etiquette here. I encouraged you to post in this community and i unmuted you here for now. You have some amazing photography and i don't want your experience here soured if you made honest mistakes. Recycling content is considered a big no no because it's thought of as double-dipping the rewards pool.

Creating new content is imperative to growing and sharing your content. From time to time sharing old things in a new way isn't frowned upon... but choosing images that have already been rewarded could be seen as recycling. Making the same post and then reposting it at a later time is that double-dipping that many despise on the Hive blockchain. So, moving forward... i would suggest sharing new and fresh content. You are welcome to continue posting to the Photography Lovers community. I was glad to see you here! I think honest mistakes can happen when this new opportunity is a challenging one to figure out. Without help, i don't think anyone would make it.

So, i wanted to be a voice of reason to try to explain to you the reasons for why you got downvoted and temporarily muted. I'm sorry for the confusion and for the harsh actions. If you aren't milking rewards... then take it as a lesson learned and i have a feeling that you have a bright future here in the PL community and Hive as a whole!

Let me know if you have any other questions about etiquette or guidelines and i will try my best to help you out. Reading the community rules and description is a great start. Feel free to reach out to me anytime. Cheers!

thanks for the explanation castleberry. So if posted other pictures from the same set is ok? but recycling excapt same content is no go. What about different languages for the post? since I will not always make every post quadro lingual. And crossposts are ok for new content? Is there a guideline somewhere about hive, that I can read? 🙏

I just made a post about some of the things. You can definitely do more shots from the same photoshoot. Just not the same ones too many times without something new. You can definitely post in different languages. English is the most common so i would suggest having English as a primary even if it's not your native tongue. Crossposts are ok and is really the only acceptable way to share your post in more than one location. Check out my current post and read the links i put in there towards the end. I think it will be helpful for sure. If you have any other questions.... as i said, feel free to reach out any time!

thanks man for the guide. I read it - one post too late though. 🤣

love your post too! (we are watching a great Chinese historical dorama right now, with my wife )))

x-posts is ok for any material, you may post your own and not your own posts, old and new, to any corresponding community that do not reject x-posts in their rules. BUT beware, many subscribers may count that as a spam, and most often, communities / mods prefer not to support the posts that were not seeded directly to their native feod's. 🙄

what about different languages for the post? since I will not always make every post quadro lingual.

I feel your pain, as I am not a native speaker too. the truth it is a grey zone, and everything should be considered basing on the efforts input. BUT, most of native speakers, and the Hivewatchers team, do not consider the efforts of translating work as an efforts.

This is partly true: many do not actually translate the texts and spend their time on it exactly as much as it takes to start with Ctrl + C and then Ctrl + V. In reality, no one pays the moderators to waste their time trying to understand what your post is - a 10-second automatic Google translator job, or an hour of your personal work. By default, they will assume the former is true. Accordingly, if you published some text in one language, and then make a second publication of the same text in another language, even if you use a different set of photographs, there is a very high risk, more than 95%, that your work will be considered as plagiarism (you "recycled" and stole it from yourself. It's ridiculous, but it is, believe me, I know what I'm writing about). Therefore, it is better to make bilingual posts immediately, and then simply do not return to this text anymore, or if you return, then completely re-write the text again so that there was no possibility for accusations.

If you use discord, then you may read more about the rules in the Hivewatchers discord channel.

thanks man i think you are watching eternal love on netflix. cause thats what everybody does :lmao: but since it is a tencent production you can also watch the new season on youtube :D

haha, no, not correct. but a good try, thank you!

my 1st very astonishing approach to CN doramas was the 'Nirvana in fire' (we watched it two times in a row, on rewin!) and the current one is a bit like it: a detective story in historical scenery. if you are interested, I can tell you the exact name. 😋

!PIZZA

ps. forgot to add to my 1st comment: if you would like to earn the extra tokens on the Hive blockchain for 'creative' stuff, #creativecoin would be a better idea than #creative. I would be happy to give your post an extra curation for CCC tokens.

ah usually when I hear chinese dorama today, people are watching eternal love on netflix or the untamed on youtube. :D that's irregular what I hear from you. my favorite is "step into the past" with louis koo. All time classic and super funny (Mystery time travel with historical chinese background) or Legend of the condor heroes with Andy Lau. Yeah I am a Hong Kong drama kid 🤣

oh thanks, i put creative on the post cause i thought it was artsy stuff 🤣 so next time i will use #creativecoin
