Landscape is such a challenge. You're at the mercy of the elements, and months of planning and prep can be ruined by the whims of the weather. Couple great shots in here though, Monta Rossa at sunset is fantastic, and so is the shot of the glacier. I like how you used the vibrant plant life in the foreground to add depth and colour. Handy when the sky isn't playing nice.
You are absolutely right! You never know for sure what you get, until you are actually there. Even the most amazing landscapes can look boring on a photo without the right light. I was so excited when I saw all those beautiful layers unfold! The Monta Rossa massif is incredible! A nice trick to do, is to look for complementary colours when the sky is boring and blue :-)
