This building looked like a true modern marvel. This is "The Vessel" at Hudson Yards. It's hard to describe in words how different and broken it looked in person. I had never seen anything like it, not even in science fiction movies. Honestly, it seemed like something out of the imagination of the future. It looked like a giant honeycomb made of copper-colored metal. It definitely stood out with its organic shape and the deep contrast to the rectilinear and rational appearance of the surrounding buildings. This part of western Manhattan is a real oasis of luxury, art and modern architecture. While I was standing there, I was amazed by the scale of this work. Staring at it, I managed (with effort) to count about 16 floors :) Despite my efforts, it was difficult to perceive the whole thing at once. When I was shooting, I was mesmerized by the play of lights, the reflections in the metal and the structure itself. It looked so alive and almost surreal. This feeling of standing in front of something like that was truly exciting. At the same time, I felt somehow "small", like a speck of dust in the universe :)))
Today, when I look at the photo, I return there, to the heart of one of the most exciting and dynamic cities in the world.
The Vessel
Today, while I was going through the photos on my phone, I came across one that reminded me of a work trip to New York. The memories took me back to an evening moment when I was wondering where to have dinner in this huge city. I was looking for a place to eat, but at that moment I found myself in front of a building of extraordinary beauty and fantastic architecture.
