Former adits for the extraction of gypsum, Tatarstan. In the 30s of the last century, in the Bogorodsk mountains, on the banks of the Volga, a large layer of gypsum was discovered. They began development, but by the 1950s, production was stopped. For a long time, the remains of rails, trolleys and other equipment of miners could be found in the tunnels. Everything has now been taken away by tourists. In 2005, not far from these adits, they began to develop a new deposit. But the passage to the active part of the mine is prohibited...

At the moment, these adits are the most visited tourist attraction in Tatarstan
