Cold landscapes of the Volga bank and the Volga River. The beginning of November, not too cold yet, the daytime temperature was around +3 degrees, but due to the strong wind it sometimes seemed that the temperature outside was already below zero. During a walk along the coast in search of caves, it even started to snow and rain once. The waves from the coast do not seem very big, but as fishermen who fish in those places from boats say - the height of the waves can be up to a meter... Another advantage of such weather is the absence of tourists. We were the only people on the entire coast.

I've heard that the Volga freezes over: is that true for this area too?
Yes, it is completely covered with ice, although there are sometimes gullies, but most of the water area freezes. Depending on the winter, the thickness of the ice can reach 1 meter in places.
