Kamenka River, stream from the mountain

IMG_4666.jpg

A small-town landmark in the Southern Urals, the outlet of the Kamenka River from the mountain. Such a unique legacy of Soviet industry. Once upon a time I already had posts about this place, but one post was with winter photos, and the other with autumn ones. Now the photos are spring. The difference is in the flow of water - in the fall the flow is weakest, but in the spring it’s just a mountain river.

The history of the appearance of this place is as follows - there was an ore mine. A river flowed nearby, the waters of which prevented the miners from working, flooding the mine. We tried pumping out the water - it helped for a short time. And then they approached the problem on a grand scale - they cut a tunnel in the mountain for the river. The length of the tunnel turned out to be a little more than 4 kilometers. The mine has been closed for a long time, but the tunnel remains and is now a tourist attraction. Wedding processions and just people come here for a picnic
