More than happy...

After my recent visit to Ulley Reservoir, I really wanted to go back, I did a quick reccy of the surrounding area on my last visit, and saw a road that I thought may be a good place to get the drone up.

So after visiting my parents and wishing my Mum a happy mother's day, I headed out with the drone once more to check out this new location.

(I call the above shot "Up Hill & Down Dale")

Driving up I could see parts of the reservoir on my right, but wasn't sure how good it would be to photograph what I wanted. I found a little pull over and parked in there, took the drone up, and to my surprise it was so much better than my previous location.

Above is a panorama of the reservoir, with the ever changing but beautiful light, I just hung around until the sun lit the valley of the reservoir.

I could hear shooting again, albeit far in the distance, so I knew that the drone was safe from where I was, even thought it's against the law to shoot a drone in the UK, I really don't want to take any chances of anyone shooting at it.

I couldn't get enough, and shot way more than I normally would, different angles etc, although I did keep the drone at 400 feet, a height at which I very rarely fly at, but due to the distance from where I was and the reservoir, it needed that height.

It was such a great day for a flight, with only light winds, although you can tell the weather is changing a bit as had to have a little jacket on as it was getting cold stood in the field.

I really can't wait to show my Dad these shots as this was one of his local stomping grounds of when he was growing up, and I very much doubt he will have seen it from this angle.

Well that's it from me, I'm off to the Lake District on Tuesday so hoping for some epic shots, as long as it's not raining I'll be happy lol.

I really hope you like the shots from today, all shot using a DJI Mini 2 Drone, using AEB, then processed in Adobe Lightroom and Skylum Aurora HDR.

Hope you've all had a great weekend.
