So, as the title suggested, should I be worried? Worried about what you may ask, well it may seem like nothing to some people, but, to others it maybe something to keep an eye out for.
I've recently updated my drone to the DJI Mini 5 Pro, now, I loved the mini 4 pro, this is a fantastic drone, but the one inch sensor on the mini 5 persuaded me to upgrade, so what am I worried about?
It's the motors, on all previous drones the motors had metal connections, but on the mini 5 it has plastic ones, now the plastics do feel different to the mini 4, but DJI have packed in hell of a lot more technology in there, but the plastic on the motors seems to be bothering me, I know however it'll have been through it's tests etc, but plastic doesn't last as long as metal, hence my worries.
I have only flown the drone once and it does fly as good as the mini 4, it does seem a bit quicker to be honest, and I have to say, I am more than happy with the picture quality, especially the low light shots I got from the drone.
One thing that is the same as the mini 4 is the 50mp (48mp on the mini 4), I find that the quality isn't as good as as shooting at 12mp and upscaling it in lightroom, I do however love the 2x zoom, which isn't a digital zoom, but gives great quality, I'm really looking forward to putting this to it's test.
Overall, I am happy with the mini 5, there are a couple of differences I need to get used to compared to the mini 4, but I can't wait for some photography trips with this, still, the plastic on the motors bothers me, do you think it should?
Anyhow please let me know what you think and I really hope you do like some of the test shots that I did on my first flight.
Thanks for reading,
All the best :-)
