One of the cool things about Canyons is the myriad of shapes, sizes, and lines present. I wonder how many years it took to smooth these canyon walls? Some say thousands, others say tens of thousands. I agree, the way the water forms them over so many thousands of years...So interesting. It's interesting to see the different shapes based on water flow through, or down, the rock.

It's interesting how in the last 2 shots the top is more pockmarked and not worn as smoothly. There must have been a lighter, easier-to-erode material in the crack at some point that didn't allow the upper portion to get as smooth from the water.
Yeah, strange, but maybe not unusual.
