Big Beauties

Well maybe I went a little overboard taking pictures in this forest of old ancient tall trees! Just a wonderful walk around these Big Beauties! Do you live in an area with tall trees like these? Makes one feel really tiny walking around this place. Then imagine how tiny we are on this huge planet we call earth. Hmmmm. Then imagine again, how tiny the earth is in comparison to the sun. Did you know that 1.3 million “earths” can fit into one sun! Then imagaine again, the earth is part of a galaxy called the Milky Way, which they say, contains billions of stars. How do they measure the amount of stars though? Above my pay grade. Thanks for stopping by.

Beautiful trees aren't they? That really is a great location for a summer trip, I bet it's cold and rainy in the winter though...

Those star estimates are only good educated guesses at best. We can't even see all of our own galaxy it's so massive. The only galaxy you can see outside our own with a little help from binoculars is Andromeda. It looks like a small smudge, but in billions of years from now our galaxy will collide with Andromeda and merge into one. We'll all be long gone, but it just goes to show you that the universe marches on without us.

Keep up the great work on the pictures, Vancouver island is a beautiful spot!

I was thinking about going back in February for a shorter visit, I know it will be colder and rainier for sure. During this trip, it was sunshine everyday, I think we lucked out. Appreciate you stopping by with the best comments!

I also like big trees, they are proof of the strength of nature, they last there hundreds of years against sun, cold, thunders always there, most likely killed by humans... We have a few big ones around here, one was cut because "sick" even though everyone else said it was fine

Strange, bureaucratics tend to just "order take" and likely the person(s) that gave the order, didn't even know the true state of the tree, and probably didn't care either.

I don't think it's an exaggeration, a forest or large trees that beautiful and shady are indeed worthy of being photographed many times. The first picture is my favorite.

What could be more worthy than our beautiful trees, oceans and mountains?!

There is life (humans, insects, animals, birds, and so on) that enjoys it. Without life, beauty has no meaning. sorry if wrong😅

Indeed, 100% correct!

Always have to be looking up when walking around places like these. Contemplating how seemingly insignificant we are with these magnificent realities makes the mind boggle. Can't think much about it with my ordinary mind :)

Our ordinary minds get blown when we contemplate the stars and galaxies!
