Big Beautiful Boulders

What is a boulder? Officially it is rock fragment that is at least 25.6 centimeters in diameter (or about 10 inches for our American friends). These, I would call humongous boulders! No two boulders are exactly alike, that is why I find them so photogenic. Big, Bold, and Beautiful! Every little kid’s (and big kid’s) dream to climb one and play on top. What are you waiting for? Last one up is a rotten egg. Thanks for stopping by.

What's the origin of those? It seems like someone arrived and dropped them there but I reckon it's not like that

Very nice to see!

These boulders are named "Okotoks erratic". Apparently the remnants of a receding glacier, or so they say.

Wow, this is really amazing, when nature is really playing the role of an artist. The view is so magnificent.

We are just the "observers" capturing the moments.

I'll never stop being impressed by how unique each boulder/stone looks. Every single one has its own personality!

Right? Every one of them has it's own unique "personality" as you say.

I've seen videos where American Pool builders mostly uses boulders like these to build pools, they absolutely look cool and although it looks too dangerous to climb

Yeah, one can get a lot of use out of that much rock. Thanks for looking.

Amazing! That's the word. The boulders are amazing. It is great to know that there's an official size for what counts as a boulder. The black and white photographs does it for me. I prefer them over the colored ones. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't know either until doing some quick research. Thanks for stopping by for a look.

Wowww, beautiful and powerful stones, great

Heavy and powerful. Thanks.

Even at a glance, the stone almost resembles an ancient building. Thank you for sharing and have a nice day my friend ♥️♥️♥️

They have a certain structure to them. Thanks for looking.

This stone is really incredible! I mean seeing such stunning photos is very rare, you capture really well!
Loved them!

Those are pretty cool! Were they moved their by glacial ice or just an old rock structure eroding away? Awesome shots!

They say glacial ice, however, who really knows!

I love the boulders in B&w. I can almost see faces in them!

I couldn't disagree with that. Thanks.
