From the trailhead to the Falls was a short 15 minute hike, nice and quick. The rewarding falls was definitely worth it! Not very high at all obviously, but a beautiful location to hang around and soak in the action. There was a long log caught between the rocks, and if you look closely, there appears to be a “noose like” string hanging from the log (or the gallows). Fun times, shortly after this, we picked up the trail along the Comox river and hiked for another hour or so. Thanks for stopping by.

Great!
Looks like some idiot climbed out there and tied that thing on... Not some pleasant water to fall into, a great way to get yourself killed. People and their stupidity...
Awesome pictures, interesting how that log jammed in there like that, it must have had a whole lot of water flowing to make that happen! Great job as always!
People will do anything for a dumb "selfie". Look at how many have died trying to get these "cool" photos!
Good heavens, that's a strange place for a "hanging noose" 😄... And a great shot, of course!!

People do strange things. Thanks.
Looks like the water receded over time and left the log there. Beautiful shots of the water stream, what a force of nature, the sound must be roaring :)
Roaring, but not too loud. Very soothing to listen to.
Look at how strong is that stream! On that pictures you can clearly see the power of nature
Yes, it awesome to be right beside the rushing river. What's more powerful than nature?!
Water looks so clear, it's glacial meltwater?
Yes, the water does come from the Comox glacier which is the largest on Vancouver island apparently.
The string on that log is oddly creepy, didn’t expect to notice something like that on a short hike
Seems out of place on a nature photoshoot!
Yes that's what I thought too
Nymph Falls looks stunning. I love how you highlighted that unique log feature. Makes me want to grab my camera and join the photography community too.
Thank you. Go for it, if you want!
