First things first, we went for an easy hike close to Cranbrook, East Kootenay. This area doubles as a cross country skiing mecca in the wintertime. Each branch of the trail has a different name, including “Kinnikinnick trail”. We spent a couple hours meandering around the trails, getting in some fresh mountain air and just having a grand ol time! What a gorgeous forest... I love pine trees, nothing like that perfect pine smell in the gentle wind as it blows through. It reminds me of my childhood up in Yellowstone with my family!
