Moving on from Cranbrook’s community forest to a hike inside Waterton Lakes park, Alberta. This is the next adventure my life takes. July vacation started here in Waterton Parks, and I had my eye on doing the Lineham Falls hike since about last year. It was time to make that hike a reality. I had four nights stay in the area, which meant 3 full days of hiking. Hoping for good weather each day, however here on the first day it was rather overcast, and I did get some light sprinkles. Here are the first couple of photos I took. Thanks for stopping by.

Going out into the backcountry and looking for massive waterfalls hidden in the hills is among the most rewarding experiences. Being able to witness nature's forces up close is the real reward after going on a good hike.
It certainly was a blast to get out into the backcountry. Looking forward to next time.
I’m yearning for the wilderness, just me, a tent and some cameras to record the adventure!
I understand that feeling. Make it happen!
I shall and planning to make some videos about the walks in my area.
Have fun with that!
Amazing nature pathways and by the looks a great place to do some hiking. Being in nature helps us reconnect with ourselves. Enjoy!
It turned out to be a good one, and the fall was spectacular!
A 3 full-day hike must've been refreshing, because by all means, this is a great place. However it's concerning to know that the tall trees are not getting green leaves on them, it's an interesting observation, what could be the problem?
Brings us back to the 2017 wildfire, which burned a lot of forest inside Waterton park. This is what the landscape looks like unfortunately.
It's always so sad to see all those burned pines, but it's part of nature's way I suppose. Out with the old, in with the new growth. What a beautiful area! I can only imagine how lush and green it must have looked before the fire. Although it does lend nicely to them monochrome shots! Great pictures as always, and I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving! And plans this week?
No big plans for the week, just counting down the days to my next set of days off. Hoping for great weather.
Saving the Lineham Falls hike for a full year of anticipation makes the first day's overcast sprinkles feel like a fair trade for finally being there.
Yes, luckily it was only a few sprinkles. I lucked out.
Waterton Lakes seems like a wonderful place to explore. The experiences gained during each trip bring peace of mind.
Yes, a very worthwhile trip it was.
Even though it was overcast and drizzling, you managed to capture the perfect shot.
Thanks, have to make the most of any weather condition we are dealt with.
Sounds like the overcast light and those sprinkles actually worked in your favor for the falls shots.
I did manage to eek out a few nice ones yes. I'll release them over the coming days.
I'll be keeping an eye out for those, looking forward to them.
The black & whites look better in my opinion.

Thanks.
Colorful and black‑and‑white images and landscapes open two different worlds before your eyes: one, a vibrant and warm realm, full of joy and beauty; and the other, a lifeless world, silent and empty of spirit.💜💜
Thanks for looking.
