Low Tide

Walking around New Castle Island here, just off of Vancouver Island. The goal was to walk around the island perimeter trail. It was cool to observe a low tide as well, and like I’ve mentioned before, I am a landlubber; so this low tide high tide thing was quite the novelty for us. However, as it turned out, my hiking partner wasn’t feeling well. Jet lag and all, played into it. He sat down to rest and I meandered about, whilst he took a time out. To be continued. Thanks for stopping by.

Tide pools are great at low tide. Here in California there are lots of crabs in them and other small sea creatures. It's a lot of fun to visit them. Great shots you got at low tide, it's fun to see how the submerged rocks are fully exposed when the water recedes. I'm glad you guys had the chance to enjoy it on the island!

Yes, makes one want to move closer to that big thing we call an ocean. Perhaps someday..

Indeed the tide is fashionating for how it can turn things like night and day, I love low tide personally

That seems a great place for a walk

Fascinating actually, for us. Nature is incredible!

New castle Island sounds fascinating, especially the shoreline changing at low tide. I also love sitting by the sea and listening to the waves, and your photography is truly admirable.”

Well glad you came along for the ride. A few more photos to publish of our trip to the island, stay tuned.

The view is very beautiful, I like the shape of the rocks, they look very unique, like they are carved.

Yes the ebb and flow of ocean water makes for beautifully carved stones!
