Well here we are on the island. New Castle Island that is, just across the water from the city of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. The goal was to hike around the island, which I figured wouldn't take more than about 2.5 hours-ish. Off we went. A friend of mine who recommended this place said we ought to start out counter clockwise, so we did. The weather was fabulous, couldn’t have asked for anything better. What a beautiful walk around the island. So much natural beauty and even a cruise ship to boot! I bet you're glad you made the trip over there after seeing those great pictures!

Looks like an open area to explore the surrounding areas from a far. I wonder how it will be at night, when the stars come around or rather become visible. Beautiful scenery!
That would be a sight to behold. Someday may camp overnight here.

The weather around the island now is about 8°C, wish I was there now.
Ohhh so I assume it’s super cold now there already. Yeah here it still feels like humid but should change to be a bit colder hopefully but not that like the cold weather there 😅

Wow, this truly is a truly beautiful place, like paradise. The weather is also perfect for exploring the island. The 2.5-hour walk is well worth it with the views.
Was a wonderful experience, we did have a bit of trouble though and will get into that on the next post.
