We did manage to squeeze in one last activity during our second day on Vancouver Island. This was a neat little cove or bay called Union Bay (just to the left of this rock pile). Apparently in days gone by, it was used to load and transport coal to San Francisco (which was a major maritime hub in the past). We happened to be there as the tide was starting to come in, which for us landlubbers is a pretty cool thing to experience! Thanks for stopping by.

The tide was coming in slightly as we were there, so low tide more or less. Very cool to observe for a person not used to the phenomenon.

Wowww... the seaside is something special. The water is in a beautiful color and the trees along the shore are very green which makes this place even more beautiful.
Seaside is somewhat far from where I live, which makes it extra special!
