I was struck with how close our hotel was to this tiny airstrip! I did not expect this; incredibly cool and unusual it was. Not to mention, little brown rabbits here there and everywhere. Where was I? It was like I landed on another planet. So far, this week long vacation was off to a pretty good start. Wow, could hardly wait to start exploring the whole island tomorrow. Basically this was our first real experience on Vancouver Island; several years earlier we did spend and afternoon in Nanaimo with a quick ferry ride in and out, but did not get a chance to properly explore the island. If you look towards America right now you will see us haha, currently on passage to Neah Bay and just passing by Vancouver island, hope you enjoy the island it is beautiful. Definitely recommend checking out the north side!

Airstrip can be interesting to watch to see what lands there, but I love the harbor there, so quiet and in the green
