Walking around the butte, enjoying the warmer or actually hot weather! It was approaching that point where it was getting too hot for my liking.
Lets zoom in a little closer and get a better look. These buttes are an interesting sort of thing, just sticking up, as if out of nowhere. I wonder what is behind the making of a butte?

That was nice of someone to haul the bench up there and to continue to paint it. It looks nice! I don't like hiking on really hot days unless you are in a pine forest that keeps you shaded most of the time. Even then, not too much fun! But out in the open with little shade... Oh well, at least you got some great scenery and pictures while you were there. Butte's are weird, just rocks sticking out of the ground, a rocky hill maybe?
Just in the middle of nowhere, a rocky sort of hill, jutting up. Unusually cool, and even more so with that bench to chill on!
Oh yea there if it starts getting hot it's tough, fully exposed and no shadows...
But from the top the view is indeed great
