A few weeks ago, we went to the beautiful Dolomites to visit my sister-in-law and my niece, so at least the children could play together. The idea was to go for a walk in a little forest and sit there for a while, so they could play and we could relax... it was very pleasant, pure air, plants in all their splendor, and even a small river; it was possible to reach it, but the path wasn’t exactly easy and we didn’t trust it with the children. Here are some photos taken that day, I hope you like them.
A wooden bear welcomes you with a “ciao”, then many mushrooms on cut tree trunks, a few flowers here and there, obviously lots of trees, the small river I mentioned, and finally some kinds of hazelnuts I had never seen before.
I think that from time to time it’s good to take a trip to the mountains, even if we’re sea lovers, breathing different air, seeing lots of green which is now scarce in the city.
I love the Dolomites! Such pretty mountains with so much natural beauty! On top of that there is so much human history tied to the mountains, what a nice place to spend the day. Thanks for sharing those great pictures, it's been a long time since I was able to spend time there myself!

That's true, a lot of history there, expecially ww1... I'm glad you have been there and liked it! I'm not too far from them so a trip from time to time is doable

That wooden bear greeting everyone made me smile, like the friendliest ranger on duty :) Smart call skipping the tricky path to the river with kids, peace of mind defintely wins. A quick escape into all that grean kind of reset's the brain, you can breathe better even reading this. And those hazelnuts you mentioned were a fun find, little forest bonuses for the day.
