Here when it gets foggy in late autumn and winter, the fog covers large areas. Along the coast is relatively common but inland in the narrow valleys between hills happens practically every morning. 🙂 Fog can be annoying, and I feel some annoying meteoropathy symptoms in that kind of weather, but for photography, the fog is precious.

I live in San Francisco, and yes, the fog is special for photos, although it can get one down when there is so much of it...

I saw some spectacular fogs on TV filmed in San Francisco. I don't remember now if those were movies, fiction, or documentaries.

Could have been any of them ... it is a major feature of the imagery of the city. It even has its own name. "Karl" comes through for his vacation in the late spring through the late summer in particular, but floats in just about any time of year, though less in the winter.
