NEW HUION KANVUS 22" PRO REPLACEMENT OF 20" IN SETUP PART 2

So around a week or so ago I posted the new 20" Huion pro my setup and after one week of using the tablet it went wrong. I went to using it one evening and turned it on and nothing worked it made a slight noise like a pop and then no screen and no lights came on. I contacted the sales people for this to be sorted and I have now returned the item back to them for a full refund. I have now purchased the new 22" Huion kanvus pro that is 2" bigger than the last tablet and has improved screen from the last model.

This is how I received the new model and you can see the unboxing of what you get out the box and the setup.

This is what comes in the box a thank you note for choosing the Huion brand.

Pulling the polystyrene protestors out the box you will find the box with all the parts and cables needed to set this Huion up.

This is the box with all the leads and power block, screws & the pen also the glove.

This is the set of 4 screws needed to fix the stand to the tablet.

Out of the box you will find all the cables but I want to connect this tablet via the displays port rather than the HDMI port I used this on my last one but the cable does not come in the box so will need to use your own I had to order a display port to firewire connection to the mac.

This is the stand and the glove along with some instructions.

Once the polystyrene case is opened you find the main pallet inside wrapped in a antistatic bag.

Once out the box you will find a second layer of protection on the screen that needs to be removed after fixing the stand.

The stand is easy to fix to the tablet just make sure that its fixed the right side up only 4 screws needed and its done the stand is surprisingly sturdy and works well there is a adjustment pull for the tilting of the stand.

Now you can pull of the protective sheet ready to start your setup.

This is the tablet all ready to go setup just need to fix the cables and wire it up to the mac . I will do a follow up after one week of using this tablet to see how I get on with this new version .

lets hope this one holds up better than the last one.

This looks cool. I have been considering getting a tablet for a while now. I have never used one and have been looking into what is a good one to have for art mostly (but i guess photography too). I know if i get decent at it i would use it a lot... so i don't mind getting something more than entry level... but i will probably let my Hive rewards pay for it. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi I did have a Wacom before this one that I paid around £900 for a few years back now but the pen went wrong on it and it was around £130 for a pen so made the decision to get a new pallet rather than spend money on just the pen as the pallet was getting warn as well I was going to get the 24” Wacom but when do my research I came across this brand and another called Xpen I got the 20” one a week or so a go and that went wrong but now I have this 22” inch I am happy with this version the screen is better than the 20” and seems to run smother as well . If you can afford the Wacom and you will use all the features on it then I would say go for a Wacom but to be totally honest this pallet is plenty good enough for what my needs are . I would recommend this 100% I’m very happy with it but don’t get the older version go for the this one the 2019 onwards on as it’s improved and also has the monitor out as the older one only has the hdmi out .
The screen is much better as on the other version the 30” the blacks used to go milky unless you was looking directly over it but I have noticed with this version that it does not matter what angle you are the image/screen does not fade or change .

Thanks for the thorough response! I will have to do some research and see what my needs even are! hahaha I just want to make art and hopefully speed up the process. I prefer to do my art analog but merging analog and digital is time consuming without a pad. So, if i want to move forward into this digital era i think i will be needing one sooner rather than later!

No problem happy to help out I would say that this Huion 22" pro will do you just fine 100% you will prob be amazed by it to be honest. you have 10 short cut keys and a slider to zoom in and out or brush size and the other pads you can program to your desired short cut keys on any program you are using. Like I say unless you want to pay £2000 £3000 for the latest Wacom then its a no brainer to be fair ok its not a 4K screen but for drawing and editing this Huion will do me for the next few years and when this model came out it was £1000 but you can pick them up at a good price now that you would pay just for a Wacom pen tablet with no screen that's why I made the choice to give it a go and move away from Wacom as the reviews on this model was good and would service my needs .

Yay! 🤗
