Wow! wonderful photos. I was in Mendoza in January this year, but did not do an adventure like this ( never been on horse) but I did go around by car and did get close to majestic Aconcaqua. But on foot and only until the bridge that marks the place from where only trekkers with a permit are allowed.

I made it to base camp at 4.400m. but felt really bad and made my way back down as soon as I could.

I think the high altitude is a challenge on these kind of treks. I have done some in Nepal and Tanzania, so I know the feeling...
