Greetings friends! Today I share with you some photos I took during my tour of the Plaza de Mayo in the neighborhood of San Nicolas in the city of Buenos Aires. One of the most emblematic places in the area where there are many attractions in relation to the architecture of historic buildings.
I had the initiative to stand in front of the metropolitan cathedral and from there take some shots taking advantage of its imposing structure.
Saludos amigos! Hoy les comparto algunas fotos que hice durante mi recorrido por la plaza de mayo en el barrio de San Nicolás en la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Uno de los lugares más emblematicos de la zona donde se encuentran muchos atractivos en relación a la arquitectura de edificios históricos.
Tuve la iniciativa de pararme frente a la catedral metropolitana y desde allí hacer algunas tomas aprovechando su imponente estructura.
Most of the photos were taken diagonally to this cathedral, I moved from both sides, I moved closer and farther looking for the people passing by to enter very well in the frame and also to appreciate the urban landscape. Others I took from the Plaza de Mayo itself, but the main objective was to have this cathedral in the background.
For most of these images I used a 50mm lens and I think only one was taken with the 18-55mm kit lens, this being the next photo below.
La mayoría de las fotos las tomé en diagonal a esta catedral, me movía de ambos lados, me acercaba y alejaba buscando que las personas al paso entraran muy bien en el encuadre y que además pueda apreciarse el paisaje urbano. Otras las tomé desde la misma plaza de mayo pero el objetivo principal fue tener a esta catedral de fondo.
Para la mayoría de éstas imágenes usé un lente 50mm y creo que solo una la tomé con el lente de kit 18-55mm, siendo ésta la siguiente foto de abajo.
I liked this photo because you can see the cathedral from a more general angle, highlighting its yellow and orange tones. Above it you can see the tip of the tower and dome of the former Uruguayan-Argentinean bank and further to the left the dome of the building la equitativa del plata, where in the past housed the offices of aeropostal.
Trees, cars, people walking and others riding bicycles. Definitely at least for me it is an interesting composition.
Ésta foto me ha gustado mucho porque se puede apreciar la catedral desde un ángulo más general, destacando sus tonos amarillos y naranjas. A su vez por encima de ésta se puede observar la punta de la torre y cúpula del ex banco uruguayo argentino y más hacia la izquierda la cúpula del edificio la equitativa del plata, dónde en el pasado albergaba las oficinas de aeropostal.
Los árboles, autos, personas caminando y otras paseando en bicicleta. Definitivamente al menos para mí es una composición interesante.
For this series I decided to give the photos a warmer tone, leaving aside the excess of contrast and making the images more "friendly". Lowering the saturation in some green tones and emphasizing the orange which are the most abundant tones in this part of the square.
Some of the 12 columns can be noticed in the background although my main focus is on the people, in addition to this the reliefs on the sculptures at the top of the cathedral stand out.
Para ésta serie decidí darle a las fotos un tono más cálido, dejando a un lado el exceso de contraste y haciendo más "amigable" las imágenes. Bajando la saturación en algunos tonos verdes y haciendo énfasis en el naranja que son los tonos que más abundan en esta parte de la plaza.
Algunas de las 12 columnas pueden notarse al fondo aunque mi objetivo principal de enfoque son las personas, adicional a esto los relieves en las esculturas en la parte superior de la catedral se destacan.
I will apply this same idea in the neighborhood of Puerto Madero where there are very modern buildings covered with blue glass, also thinking of giving it a certain cinematic look...
Let's see how it turns out!
Ésta misma idea la aplicaré en el barrio de Puerto Madero dónde se encuentran edificios muy modernos cubiertos de vidrios azules, pensando también en darle cierto aspecto cinematográficos...
Veamos como resulta!
