If you let them grow, they will find the path of least resistance. They will take over. Grasses, herbs, lichens, mosses. But as long as I can walk without tripping, that is not a problem.
I am drawn to the textures of the lichens on the concrete stairs; and to the plants that seem to greet me as I climb the steps.
