Last time I visited the Christmas market I said I'm going to go back to have another cup of mulled wine. I rarely drink alcohol, but that cup of wine was worth it as it was heavenly good. Today is Sunday and there were some extras announced, so I thought it's the best occasion to pay the market another visit.
My first goal, besides the wine was the Santa bus! Yes, you read that right, the Santa bus! Each year there's a Santa bus in the city, which starts its activity on the 5th of December, as that's the day when we celebrate St. Nicolas day! It's a nice way to reward kids, even though the thing is pretty simple.
Public transport is free in the weekends for locals, so it was a great occasion to take the bus. However, after waiting for about 20 minutes, there was still no Santa bus, so I took the first bus that took me to the market.
When I arrived, there were these two beasts at the entrance of the square, both dressed up with Christmas decorations. At first I didn't understand why. It became clear a bit later but more about that in a bit.
This time the square was packed, but not without a reason and this time the reason was not just the Christmas market, the good food and the mulled wine.
This was the next scene that you saw, if you were there today. At first glance it may seem like the usual Christmas event, where kids could get a lot of presents, but it wasn't like that. Fasten your seat belts as what's coming may be something you've never seen.
The place around the Christmas tree was full of motorbikes, one cooler than the other.
There were Santas and motorbikes everywhere. These nice Santas were inviting kids to sit on the bikes and take photos as well.
Times re changing an Santas not the only one participating, we had a few lady Santas as well, with their bikes.
The offer was plentiful, you could choose a young, or old Santa, tall or short, whatever you preferred, even a Lady Santas if you wanted.
I bet many of you are wondering what was going on there. Well, instead of a reindeer pulled sled, these nice Sanatas came with their own bikes and had a purpose as well.
This is the third year, when the Motorcycle Santa event is organized and it seems it's the most successful edition. It's a charity event, with the purpose of teaching kids to give as well, not just expect. Those gift bags are donations brought by people and will be gifted to kids less fortunate, living in orphanages.
There were several initiatives these past two weeks regarding Christmas donations. Shoe box initiatives are very common as it's the easiest thing is to fill a shoe box with toys, sweets and colored pencils for example.
This year I donated two shoe boxes full of goodies, along with two giant bags of good quality clothes and shoes, that are going to a family with 8 kids. I hope my small contribution helps them a little.
Today was not the first day when these nice Santas were present at the square, collecting donations. There were other days in which they offered kids a few minute of happiness. They did a tour of the city, stopping at the major points, to be able to collect donations from everywhere.
Christmas is about spreading love and giving and the less fortunate kids, that have no family or relatives are going to be part of a nice surprise. Imagine their faces, when these Santas are going to show up at the orphanage with gifts.
It's heartwarming to see people coming together to help others. These bikers are organizing the event yearly and they are more and more each year.
I must admit, it was maybe the most difficult photo shoot I did so far. There was a huge crowd, people were coming and going, there was no space to frame any of the photos, so ... it is what it is. At the end of the day, I'm happy I could be part of this wonderful initiative and that's all that matters.
My plan for today was to buy something for myself as last time I came home empty handed. Trust me, there was everything there, the offer was abundant.
Apples in chocolate, pears in chocolate, banana in chocolate, strawberries in chocolate, grapes in chocolate, everything in chocolate and these were calling my names, but I was brave again and resisted temptation heroically:)
Santa was on call again, driving kinds around the square.
This time, as a bonus, I got to pet the horse nose 😆. I love horses and this one was a very calm one (otherwise they are not allowed in the crowd). Have you ever petted the nose of a horse? If not, do it as soon as possible and you'll see what I mean.
And finally, the mulled wine!!! I went to the same place as I liked the wine and had another cup, which was just as good as the first one.
Last time a friend of mine asked me where was my red nail polish. This time I went prepared, but opted for blue as the wine was red 😂.
After finishing the wine I saw the bikers took off, along with the two cars, all lit up in Christmas lights and headed towards their next destination in the city. Unfortunately I could not catch them as the crowd was huge.
Then what do you think happened? ON my way home, I was waiting at the bus stop and the first bus arriving was Santa's bus! Can you imagine how lucky I was today?
The photos are not great, but you get the idea.
So I got on the bus and Santa was not on it! Turns out the bus is decorated for Christmas, but no Santa on it :)
Regardless, it's still a nice thing in my opinion.
All in all it was a very cool event and the biggest gift I could get today was seeing so many good people come together to help others.
Have you ever seen such an initiative? I hope you have and this is widespread.

Looks fun. That's awesome! I have to ask... did you guys play "which of these beards do not belong"? Lol
This is real good look though. I've never seen something like this before. Good stuff guys
We didn't play as I didn't know about this game to be honest 😀
I hope this initiative can spread worldwide as it's a vey good one.
My husband saw the other Santas on motorbikes, they were quick then hahaha, driving quickly from Spain to your city :D
Ow, cool you could have the Santa bus at least when going home, it looks festive and cheerful :)))
Well, I'm pretty sure these Santas 🎅 🧑🎄 were different Santas as they were on a mission, a good one 😉
Yes, I was lucky to carch the Santa bus home, even if Santa wasn't on it.
So Santa now rides a bike, that's awesome.
Viewing this photos made me feel like it's Christmas already. Christmas celebration and decoration is now everywhere and it's booming everyday.
I love the idea of donation, it's cool
Yeah, the whole city is dressed up in Christmas decorations and looks nice. The donation initiative was so cool.
Santa bike... and all. This is my first time hearing that. I am glad there is so much love, fun, and smiles in everyone's heart. And it is nice knowing that the orphanages aren't alone, they'll have more gift to go from people which is very nice to see.
Those poor kids will have at least one cool day, which maybe can make them forget about their poor situation. These people at least are doing something. There's always room for improvement.
What a colorful Christmas market, the Santas on motorcycles look great, but the idea of donations is the ultimate, so many gifts!!!!
I hope you ate anything covered in chocolate...don't hold back...it's Christmas!!!!🤭😂
Lol, I didn't buy any food 😂
I was looking at some yummy lángos, but it is extremely expensive, so most likely I'll be making my own lángos at home.
Yes, there were so many gifts collected, it was heartwarming to see people care so much.
The Biker Santa group is so cool! They collected so many gifts. And it's so nice of you to donate all of that stuff. Trust me, it makes a lot of difference to the receiving party. The wine looks good, but not sure about the plastoc cup haha. The nails look even better! Nice choice!
I loved the initiative a lot as someone has to think of those less fortunate too. I did what I could this year and will do it again next year.
Well, plastic cup is what they are serving in, so ....
At leas you're ok with my nail choices, thank you! 🤣
At the beginning of the post, I was kinda laughing reading that the modern Santas are riding bikes instead of sleds nowadays, I mean Santa now become modern. But when I realized the cause, I was astonished and my heart filled with emotions.
I always admire such kind of initiatives where people think about those who are not fortunate. That's why I always used to try to make someone's day filled with smiles as much as I could. I did that before and I will do it again. I am happy that you also donated and it shows what kind of person you are. Thank you for such a wonderful post.
I see I made some mistakes so the test is edited now, can you please edit your comment and paste the right sentence? 😬
Well, It was a lovely initiative and I'm glad I could do my part. These guys are gathering on the square several days a week and spend their time with kids, letting then on their bike. Plus they are going to distribute the gifts as well. What can be more beautiful, right?
Doing something good sometimes costs nothing, but it makes you feel good for the whole day. You're a good person Priyan and all the good you do will come back to you. Sometimes a smile is all we need 🤗
Can't agree with you more and appreciate those with gratitude who came up with this idea and participated in this initiative as well...
Done 😀
The best thing about this is that it has become regular now. It's the third year and I hope it's going to continue.
It's a good initiative and I also hope they will continue this tradition...
I was amazed too and happy to be there as they really did a great thing this time. I hope you have a similar decoration in your city.
I love the Santa bus, lol, it’s like having all the Christmas in the bus!
I can feel the pleasure with that wine. Even though you don’t use to drink alcohol, I believe a hot wine with these cold temperatures is one of the better choices to warm up the body.
Great experience!! Thanks a lot for sharing!
Yes, that's the idea, haning Christmas everywhere.
Many people don't drink alcohol, myself included but it's ok for Christmas, it comes with the package.
That's so cool! We had some sort of Santa marathon on Friday where tens of people wearing Santa costumes were running on the main alley of the city center but no bikes at all. Honestly would love that more since I had a passion for motorcycles since I was a kid, but hey, at least we had something in common.. the Santas! haha
I hope that Santa marathon was for charity and there were donations to the people in need as well :) As these Saantas were there to collect and deliver gifts to orphanages :)
I honestly have no idea. It seemed more like something done for the audience but I do hope there was some charity behind this action too :)
It takes more than one Santa to pull of a great Christmas 😉 cool that the bikers organized a toy drive. Bikers are involved in charity and community service in the States too.
They are good people. I know of a bike gang (not a bad one) that are paying a visit to an orphanage each year in September and each of them donating the price of a tank of fuel, which is a nice thing to do.
Lovely, i have a travel coming tomorrow hopefully, change vibes and point of view for this new year 🎄⚡
Well, in that case safe travel.
Christmas celebration is everywhere indeed but yours looks fun & great!! Enjoy the celebration while exploring!! Your bus ride is awesome even without santa on it.
This was a lot of fun indeed for different reasons.
The bus is going to roam around the city till after Christmas 🎄 so everyone can enjoy it.
Unbelievable. Who would have thought that this year Santa changed the reindeer for a motorcycle. It was about time he modernized.
Yeah, they are modern now, as we live in modern times. Too bad many missed the point.
I like motorcycle Santa, lafy Sant and Santa bus. They are so cute ideas🥰😍
Merry Christmas🎄
Yes the idea is cute but the main idea is not their dresses but what they do and that's the most important thing.
It looks like the Christmas and New Year welcome there looks cool and fun, I like some of the pictures you posted today. It's a very beautiful moment
It was indeed a nice moment and it's going to continue I hope.
Hmmm, mulled wine. 😋😮😍
Yes.
Yum!! !LOL
Wonderful
It was indeed.
Such a festive market! That is the best feeling, of people coming together with an atmosphere of peace and love.
That's the idea behind it and this was a successful one for sure.
Those super bikes, definitely New Age Santa.
Yes, the next generation. There's no snow yet, so the bikes are a good idea.
This is really a nice and interesting picture especially the train is very unique and I just saw a train like this in our area nothing like this is so cool
Are trains expensive?
I don't know if they are expensive or not as these were not fo sale, but you could ride them.
Wow this is cool it looks like we can enjoy this train directly in our difficult area like this
Yeah, Santa bikers. I have heard about it but never seen it in person. But it must be interesting, so many Santas in a pile.
Yeah, too bad so many are missing the reason they come together.
I think this tree is much taller than 15m.
Yes, the Santas don't have bellies as they are not regular Santas.
You're welcome and I hope those guides help.
Mulled wine
Mulled cider
Gluhwein
Yup its that time of year again. Throw in a mincepie way to go.
Like cows horses are big beasts, not sure i trust either of them to not take a chunk out of my hand
Lol, this one was a very calm one and trained to stay calm in the crowd, otherwise they would have not allowed it there but I understand your concern 😀
The wine was really good.
cool! If the wine is good the world is good
Santa on a motorbike is way cooler than the classical Santa haha, that was a classy way to make an entry!
Mulled wine is a must during the Xmas holidays, I am not a drinker but once in a while it really does taste amazing!
These Santas came to collect donations for the orphans, that was their main purpose.
I'm not a drinker either but mulled wine is ok during Christmas.
They looked super cool, the biker community is always doing nice stuff!
I thought about buying my own wine and doing it at home but I thought oh my if I get the whole bottle it will be way too tempting:)) so one serving in town is better
I love Santa and Christmas vibes in your place!! It is so amazing and I wish I could go there someday. I would bring my son there and he would love it. Even on the bus having the Christmas attributes and I can hear the Chrismas songs from here. haha. What a nice place ^^
I bet your son would love it as all the kids were thrilled. It's a lot of fun for adults too.
Santa-claus is always creating scenes. Nice work.
What a great celebration. That tree is wonderful. They did a great job with the lights.
