Let's Have A Cocktail

in Photography Lovers18 days ago

It's not Easter yet, it's just Good Friday today, but I see no reason not to have a cocktail. I mean an art cocktail, of course, what were you thinking?

The truth is, there's always a lot of photos left unposted in each folder and not that I have to post them all, but it's fun to mix style and medium, to bring more fun to you.

So let's mix another cocktail, shall we?

Let's start with this riddle as it was left to us to decide what we see here. It is the work of Simion Moldovan. A big, cracked wooden head on a pallet, with a yellow kid sitting on it. It can mean anything, from a thinking soul to a new life built on old experience, you tell me.

Another work of the same artist. This work was a tribute to a famous artist, just forgot who it was as I got so much information in a short period from a domain that I have so limited knowledge of, that I could not keep everything in mind, so it's up to you to tell me what it means.

Zsuzsanna Sztanó - No Title

Could be a part of a forest during winter, when branches are naked, or could as well be a part of a fence, those you see made of branches in the tropics.

I see it as a barrier in any case, as you can't slip through it, made to stop everyone.

Zoltán Zörgő Szőcs - War

Exactly what it looks like. Life is not easy these days as we're suffering the consequences of war and the worst is yet to come, but in the animal word, war is not something unusual. You fight to survive. Kill or be killed, that's how it works and this artwork shows it in the best way.

Mana Bucur - AI (Antic Intelligence)

I'm not sure if this is a mocking of AI (artificial intelligence), but I like it. At first I thought the two holes are bullet holes, but there were no such bullets we use today back in those days, so most likely they are not. I like how the head is sliced and it makes you think of those mummies wrapped in gauze. Even the texture of the head has the texture of gauze.

And here comes the trick, the head is two faced and the other one is not covered by anything, perhaps it has its natural color. This could symbolize how people have two faces, one, the real face, which would be the brown one I suppose, and another face for the world, wrapped, covered to hide what needs to be hidden.

Mana Bucur - AI (Artificial Intelligence)

And here's the contrast, the exact opposite of the previous one. At first I was thinking artificial intelligence doesn't have two faces, just one, but I was wrong, it has as many faces as you want. You just have to redefine and adjust the prompt and you can be whoever you want to be. Or AI can make you be whoever you want to be.

Annamária Bantta - Everything Is OK

This is a mystery, I don't know what to make of it, so it's yours, tell me what you see or what it means to you.

Let me know what you think and which one is your favorite.

Absolutely fantastic sculptures. Ceramics is something I've worked with a lot. This is appreciated!

I've never worked with it but has always been on my list to try it out.

In the first case, I think it might be that inner voice that tells us things... like intuition, because it’s yellow, and yellow is the colour of wisdom.

I like the AI works... I think they’re trying to say that AI shows society that it’s useful, harmless... that it makes work easier, and even works for us... but the side we don’t see is that they learn and are very dangerous... they will be!!!

I don’t know why, I think it’s because of the colours, but I liked the last one!

Looks like AI and the Titanic wins this time. I don't like the Titanic unfortunately and can't wven look at it without making me uncomfortable and it's not because what's happened to the ship.

Anyway, it's good that you have two favorites.

That Titanic is really strange; it almost looks like something else, it’s really odd!

I am not sure which one is my favorite. The AI ones are interesting. They seem to show both sides of how people feel about it. I also attracted to the War one. It is simplistic, but speaks to the very primal nature of it.

I think there's something for every taste here, this is why I like to mix these cocktails.

"I really enjoyed this creative mix, especially the idea of an ‘art cocktail’ — it makes the post feel fresh and different. 🎨✨ The wooden head sculpture is very interesting, it gives a deep feeling like past experiences shaping something new. I like how you shared your own thoughts but also left space for others to interpret it in their own way. That makes the post more engaging. Looking forward to seeing more of your artistic explorations!"

now that's some strange pieces really, lot of abstraction here

the yellow kid in the first seems like guilty, like sitting on someone died for its fault but no idea the meaning

AI, it would suit better for humans tbh, all people wear a mask, we all wear a mask to hide who we really are to please society or expectations... AI is just a tool, it doesn't have coscience nor it can mask itself

Everything Is OK, i got totally no idea

Titanic is my favorite as it reminds a Portuguese caravel, the jellyfish

the yellow kid in the first seems like guilty, like sitting on someone died for its fault but no idea the meaning

I love how people see different things in the same artwork. I don't know what it means either.

You're right about AI, I agree with you.

Titanic and AI wins this time it seems.

These works are fantastic. A unique and necessary art form in these times. They truly are works of value, more than just museum-worthy; they are cultural and identity-related. I especially liked Mana Bucur's two-faced piece, particularly the expression of the face made of cracked, dehydrated clay; I can't quite explain it. Thank you for the journey.

La obra del acertijo es fascinante, a ciencia cierta nunca vas a saber que significa como tal, y el significado que le encuentres siempre va a ser relativo, increíbles tomas ❤️

Hello. I spoke with the artist about art and exhibitions in general and he explained theb idea behind one or two works, but that was not the one sob it's up to you to interpret it as you wish.
