Today I'd like to show you some amazing artworks from my last exhibition, hoping I can show you something you've never seen before. Each and every exhibition has some hidden gems and no matter how many you've seen so far, there's always something to surprise you.

This was a solo exhibition of Krisztina Molnár, called The Texture of Memory. You can read the first part about my experience here. The talent of the artist is something to envy for sure, in the good sense of the word of course and you'll see why.
In The Garden (2025)
At first glance it may seem simple or even boring, due to the big green surface taking up the majority of the canvas, but in my eyes, this is a wonderful painting. It is indeed a sea of green, symbolizing nature, but the focus is on the little girl in the center of the painting.
There's a secret here, that you may not see from where you are. I'm not going to reveal it yet, but I'm going to refer to it soon in this post. All I'm saying now is that the level of details here is mind blowing.

Unicorn (2024)
This came as a huge surprise.
And this is the reason why.
Most likely it's safe to call it a collage, but not just any collage. The reason I was surprised (or should I say shocked?) was because here you could find all kinds of pieces, made of leaf, paper, canvas, cut out of newspapers, drawings, leaflets, you name it. I can say the cutoff is not exactly millimeter precise work either. Looking it as a whole, it looks interesting, but ... well, I wouldn't want to look at it every day. But you wouldn't expect to see such work in a gallery, that's for sure.

Laboda (2025)
Laboda is the Hungarian name of the plant called Atriplex hortensis, known as garden orache, red orache or simply orache.
I don't know about you, but the way the artist used those green, cat eyes and highlighted the right side of the canvas by using yellowish green is exceptional and extraordinary as well.

Honey Flower With Sunflower
A lovely pastel flower painting, a very unusual one as the flowers, being so pale, are kind of hidden. It's nice to see the dark brownish color gradually getting lighter, transitioning towards a greenish mustard color.
Cretan Summer
Here I think I'm missing something as I could not figure out how it was made. These are not usual brushstrokes, maybe it was done with a stencil ... who knows. It's interesting though.

The Reverend's Garden (2018)
Another lovely, gradient landscape, or gardenscape (if there's such word at all), that has an intriguing title. It makes me think it's an illustration for a book, but there was no indication regarding that.

Road
And here was, when something made me suspicious. When I saw the young girl on the center of the painting, so perfect, it made me suspicious. Then I had a closer look and realized, this was a painting painted on a photo. The girl was real, the rest is painted over the photo. I've never seen a painting like this, but I like it.
Remember the first painting? It is painted the same way. The woman or girl in the middle is a photo of a real person. The rest was painted around her.
Landscape From Mezőpanit (2024)
Another mysterious painting, but in a different way. If I were to give it a title, I'd say Layers. If you zoom in, you can see under the obvious landscape, there's a cityscape, with a hill, road, road signs and so on. The horizontal wavy lines symbolize water, but I'm not sure about that. Just guessing.

Asphalt Drawing
Another photo - painting. The little girl is real, the rest is added by the artist. This is really cool as adding childish drawings, surrounding the little girl with these drawings make the painting look like she's in fairyland.
This was a very unusual exhibition, in the very best sense of the word. I learnt something new and I like it.
Have you ever seen such paintings? Let me know and also, if you have a favorite.

STOPThat's quite a number.
That's pretty strange to paint a photo, actually I never heard of that
There has to be some kind of sadness in the artist, the first one and that one of the woman walking in the road, it's a female alone, in the nothing, gives a sense of loneliness, fragile
My pick on this goes for Laboda, even though I wouldn't hang it on the wall, that eyees all day looking at me would be creepy
