Maybe rats less as we don't have rats but who knows. Insects on the other hand and humidity is something you have to count with. However, it's nice to look at.

It is very beautiful, my paternal grandfather's house was like this, it had a lot of ivy, ferns, and flowers in the back of the house near the sugar cane mill, it was very humid and cold all year round because it was located in the Andean mountain range.
