Some years ago I visited the "Austrian Air Show" that took place near Krems in Lower Austria together with Stefan and two friends from Salzburg. Shows that big with several hundred people will probably take place the earliest next year when then COVID Situation is over. And I am looking already forward to this not because I like to visit events like this very much but all the restrictions are preventing me from seeing so many things I want to do. Travelling abroad is probably the thing I miss the most at the moment. Of course Austria has also a lot to offer, but I really want to visit Hungary or Costa Rica for some bird photography, but this still has to wait probably to next year when travelling is safe again.

Back at the Air Show in Krems I got to know one of my ex-girlfriends, this is also a reason I like to look back to this time. But the "relationship" didn't last very long, and we split short after. Back then unfortunately I still didn't have my D500 which is way faster than the D5100 but still I was able to take some nice pictures of the show. Now with my new Camera it would be a lot easier because the Autofocus is way faster than on the old camera. This is also a big positive effect when taking pictures of birds in flight.

There where a lot of displays with planes flying alone, but the most impressive ones where the displays with several planes coordinated in a flight squadron.
