Hallo zusammen. Heute zeige ich euch noch den ersten Teil unseres Washington Besuches. Alls wir im Mai in Virginia waren haben wir von da aus eine kleine Reise mit dem Zug nach Washington unternommen. Dabei war es schon gar nicht so leicht zwei Tickets zu bekommen. Da die Züge laut Internet oft schon voll waren. Ich konnte mir das kaum vorstellen da es hier in Deutschland ja immer möglich ist ein Ticket zu bekommen nur ohne Sitzplatz. Dies ist dort nicht der Fall es werden nur Sitzplätze verkauft. Beim einsteigen war auch interessant gewesen das der Schaffner nur eine Tür des Zuges aufgemacht hat warum das ist so weiß ich nicht. Hatte aber das Gefühl es ging geordneter zu als bei uns in Deutschland wenn alle einsteigen wollen obwohl noch nicht alle ausgestiegen sind.
Hello, everyone. Today I'll show you the first part of our Washington visit. When we were in Virginia in May we took a little trip by train to Washington. It wasn't that easy to get two tickets. Since the trains were often already full according to the Internet. I could hardly imagine that here in Germany it is always possible to get a ticket just without a seat. This is not the case there, only seats are sold. When boarding it was also interesting that the conductor only opened one door of the train, I don't know why that is. But I had the feeling that things were more orderly than in Germany when everyone wants to get on, although not everyone has got off yet

Vom Bahnhof aus sind wir zum Hotel gelaufen. Am Abend gab es dann noch Burger und eine Stadtrundfahrt bei Nacht. Die Bilder von der Stadt gibt es dann im zweiten Teil. Bleibt alle gesund und habt noch ein gutes restliches Jahr.
We walked to the hotel from the train station. In the evening there were burgers and a city tour at night. The pictures of the city are then in the second part. Everyone stay healthy and have a good rest of the year.

Bin gespannt auf den zweiten Teil. Ich habe die USA ja auch lieben gelernt. Erst war ich beruflich mehrere mals da und konnte mich immer wieder neu drauf einlassen.

Ich war zweimal in New York, New Jersey für jeweils eine Woche und einmal in Las Vegas auch für eine Woche. Habe Verkaufsstudios für unsere Küchen (Poggenpohl) eingerichtet und VPN Tunnel nach Deutschland geschlagen so das alles über unser Data Center laufen konnte.
Habe dann von Montags bis Freitags gearbeitet und habe das Wochenende dann Zeit gehabt um ein bisschen Urlaub zu machen. Das bot sich so an, weil die Rückflüge nach Deutschland Sonntags um mehr als die Hälfte günstiger waren.

Das ist natürlich eine tolle Sache. Da hast du gleich zwei extreme gesehen mit New York und Las Vegas. Würde auch gerne mal etwas mehr Zeit dort verbringen um alles zu fotografieren 😊 die Hochhäuser dort sind schon sehr beeindruckend.
Ja das sind sie und man lernt jedes mal was dazu. Als ich erstes Mal da gewesen bin habe ich fast fünf oder sechs Stunden gebraucht um das Empire State Building zu erklimmen. Es war natürlich eine tolle Aussicht und es war auch wunderbar nur wenn man mehr Erfahrung hat dann geht man ein paar Streets weiter und fährt mit dem Fahrstuhl einfach das Chrysler-Gebäude hoch und ist da oben in einem sehr tollen Restaurant und hat eine Mega Aussicht genauso wie vom Empire State Building aus. Es ist nur nicht so voll.

Das hat mir sehr gut gefallen.
Dass du uns mitgenommen hast nach Washington DC ist natürlich was ganz besonderes. Ein sehr gelungener Kurs den ich auch gerne rebloge.
