First Time Taking Photos For Fashion Show Event

Hi, friends in the photography lovers community. What was the most challenging part when you did the photo session? Especially when doing a photo session during a fashion show event in progress. This time I will share my experiences and some photos I took when a fashion show took place in my city. And this is my first-time experience for me.

This fashion show event carries a casual theme, and the clothes displayed must use traditional fabrics or can be mixed and matched according to the tastes of each participant. This event is the first fashion show event in my city. It is attended by local designers who later hope that these local designers can also compete with other designers.

The location of this event was held in one of the malls in my city. The place is not too big, and I think it's good enough for a fashion show event in the small town where I am now.

My most considerable difficulty when shooting for this event was the limited lighting. The only source of lighting used during the event is the lights in the mall. So I have to use a high enough ISO to match my shutter speed. Because I have to use a fast enough shutter speed to be able to capture the movements of some of the fashion show participants, the lens that I use also doesn't support this photo session, I use a zoom kit lens, so the aperture I can use is relatively small, namely at 5.6, so I have to make peace with the noise that is produced. But I think the results of this photo are pretty good. If I had a telephoto lens with a constant aperture, I'm sure the results of the pictures would be even better. And here are the results of the fashion show photos caught on my camera.

Thank you, guys. I hope you like my photos. And after this event, I immediately thought of setting aside my money to buy a telephoto lens with a constant aperture.

Warm greetings from me.

Both of this is the real challenge when doing a runway fashion photoshoot. But your photos turn out great. Good job!

I think the 70-200 f2.8 is one of a photographer's dream lens :D. This lens is superb for this kind of event in my experience.

!GIF GOOD JOB

I would say the lighting turned out well anyhow! Looks like an interesting event to shoot. You did well, framing the shots as not to have too much distraction from the other things going on around you. Excellent work.

Hi, thank you for your appreciation. I would my best to taking all of this photos.

I've only ever photographed one fashion show and my god it was not easy, as the models keep on emerging from the backstage and don't stand around for long. Lighting can be tricky, it's a bit like stage lighting but in a good way - you did well here mate.
