One of the cities we definitely wanted to visit on our car trip to Poland was Krakow. Since we spent the majority of our time in the southern part of the country, we were able to do it.
I have heard that out of all the major cities of Poland, Krakow is one of the most beautiful ones, and its old town. It's one of the few cities that wasn't bombed to oblivion in WW2, and a lot of the buildings are still original in the old town.
We spent one evening there and walked through the old town to see most of the sights there is to see. The following photos were taken in the central square of the old town.
Maria Church
There are so many churches, not only in Krakow, Poland in general. Many Polish people are catholic. 70-85% of the population identify as Roman Catholic. So pretty much around every corner, you can find a church.
Not sure why my friend marked this spot to see on his map. It was a sculpture, The Three Musicians. I mean, it looks cool, but there is a lot more remarkable stuff to see in Krakow. We went there and were like, alright, cool. Next place 😄, including my friend.
Walked over Father Bernatek’s Bridge. It was pretty cool with its gymnastic sculptures on the bridge.
These are most of the photos I took in Krakow. After that, we found a restaurant and spent the remainder of our evening there. I liked Krakow a lot more than Warsaw. I don't even know why exactly. I guess I liked the vibe of this city more.
Next Poland post will be of the first hike we did when we arrived in the mountainous region.
