Light Painting a Christmas Tree in the forest.
Christmas is a time for families to come together and celebrate. It's a time for sharing stories, eating good food, and giving gifts to one another. But most of all, it's a time for being with those we love. For the retail industry, it's of course about making sure you buy a lot of gifts, especially for those not super religious, there's something commercial about Christmas that makes us all feel awkward this year. Not sure if Santa comes knocking on your door!
There are plenty of benefits to putting up a Christmas tree. For one, it's a great way to get into the holiday spirit and get your home ready for all the upcoming festivities. Are you thinking about putting up a Christmas tree this year? If so, you're not alone - according to a recent survey, almost 60% of people say they plan to put up a tree this Christmas. But beyond that, studies have shown that having a Christmas tree in your home can actually boost your mood and overall happiness levels.
But before you go out and buy a tree, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First, make sure you have enough space for the tree - it needs to stand upright and not be too close to any furniture or other objects. Second, decide what kind of tree you want - natural or artificial, or even artistic. That's what I am for. There are pros and cons to either, so it's important to choose the right one for you. Finally, make sure you have all the necessary supplies on hand - including lights, decorations, and a sturdy stand. Maybe Flashlights?
With these tips in mind, you're sure to have a great experience setting up your Christmas tree this year!
I myself look for a non-plant-killing nor plastic way of a Christmas tree happiness. Let's make it purely made of light and leave it outside I guess.
Weihnachten ist eine Zeit, in der Familien zusammenkommen und feiern. Es ist eine Zeit, um Geschichten zu teilen, gutes Essen zu essen und einander Geschenke zu machen. Aber vor allem ist es eine Zeit, um mit denen zusammen zu sein, die wir lieben. Für den Einzelhandel geht es natürlich darum, sicherzustellen, dass wir viele Geschenke kaufen, insbesondere für diejenigen, die nicht sehr religiös sind. Weihnachten hat etwas Kommerzielles, das uns dieses Jahr alle sicher ein unbehagliches Gefühl gibt. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob der Weihnachtsmann an deine Tür klopft!
Einen Weihnachtsbaumes aufstellen, ist eine großartige Möglichkeit, in Weihnachtsstimmung zu kommen und Ihr Zuhause für alle bevorstehenden Feierlichkeiten vorzubereiten. Denken Ihr darüber nach? Wenn ja, said Ihr nicht allein – fast 60 % der Leute geben an, diese Weihnachten einen Baum aufstellen zu wollen. Weihnachtsbäume sollen ja die Stimmung und euer Glücksniveau anheben.
Aber bevor Ihr loszieht und einen Baum kaufen, gibt's ein paar Dinge, die Ihr beachten solltet. Habt Ihr genug Platz für einen Baum? Welche Art von Baum darf es denn sein - echt oder künstlich oder sogar künstlerisch. Vor- und Nachteile gibts immer, wählt weise. Stellt sicher, dass Ihr alle notwendigen Utensilien zur Hand habt – einschließlich Beleuchtung, Dekoration und einem stabilen Ständer.
Mit diesen Tipps im Hinterkopf wird das Aufstellen Ihres Weihnachtsbaums dieses Jahr bestimmt ein tolles Erlebnis!
Ich selbst suche nach einem nicht-pflanzentötenden oder plastischen Weg eines Weihnachtsbaumglücks. Machen wir es rein aus Licht.
What happened here?? What were the settings?
The featured Light Painting image you see is a 128 seconds-long single-exposure time photograph. The camera was set to ISO 50 and the Laowa 12mm Zero D F2.8 Lens was set to F8 / F16.
First I used a simple acrylic light with a flashlight in strobe mode attached to it and moved it in the shape of the branches left and right. Then I used an RGB flashlight for the stars shining straight into the lens. That's when I changed the F-Stop up to F16. Not talking about a Fighter jet.
Alle Nachtaufnahmen hier sind einzel Aufnahmen 128 Sekunden Belichtungszeit. Die Kamera war auf ISO 50 und das Laowa 12mm Zero D F2.8 Objektiv war auf F8 / F16.
Zuerst habe ich ein einfaches Acryllicht mit einer daran befestigten Taschenlampe im Strobe-Modus verwendet und es in Form der Äste nach links und rechts bewegt. Dann habe ich eine RGB-Taschenlampe verwendet, damit die Sterne direkt in die Linse scheinen. Das war, als ich den F-Stop auf F16 geändert habe.

Light painting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph. The technique can be used to create various effects, such as adding streaks of light to a photo or creating "light drawings." This is what happened here. I drew that tree into the forest. It was there only for those 128 seconds while drawing it. This also never ever in its complete appearance. Only in parts, one could see it at once. The magic of Light Painting.
Lichtmalerei ist eine fotografische Technik, bei der Aufnahmen gemacht werden, indem eine Handlichtquelle bewegt wird, während eine Langzeitbelichtung gemacht wird. Das ist hier passiert. Ich habe diesen Weihnachtsbaum im Wald gemalt. Nur ganz kurz für diese 128 Sekunden da, während es gezeichnet wurde. Dies auch nie in seiner vollständigen Erscheinung. Zu sehen war er ja immer nur teilweise und nie komplett. Die Magie des Light Paintings.
What you see here is the test shot of the area I was set up for my Light Tree when it snowed early this year. It's not too far from where I live in a nearby forest. Since I hope for more snow to come in the next weeks I share this here. I really hope I can get out to the snow again and create more Light Paintings in the snow.

last year i only tried to lightpaint lights on a real tree and i did not go as planed. not that easy :) but to make a whole tree. Nice one

You're welcome, it's not like anything I've ever seen before. Light is crucial to how we perceive, then how we create, and then there's an additional play on light when doing lightpainting. This is one aspect I find fascinating.
Balance cold and snow, but I have a tendency to go until my fingers and toes feel froze. 😂

Hahaha that’s cool, I have no decorations either, but not out of choice. All is packed into 📦📦📦 as the movers will come and pick everything up tomorrow morning for our move. I won’t be seeing anything until somewhere in January as it has to be shipped. 😉
