Balloon Poodle Twister - Light Painting

in Photography Lovers2 months ago (edited)

When you get bored anything goes. Party!

Balloon poodles are The Classic Poster Example of balloon twisting, is where a long, thin balloon is inflated and then twisted into the shape of a poodle dog. The one I found here in my Airbnb wasn't exactly made of rubber more like clay. Anyhow imagine we talking balloons, there is an art form that is popular at parties, events, and among street performers and is a fun way to demonstrate creativity and skill in balloon modeling.

Can you?
Balloon poodles are a great entry point into the broader world of balloon art and can serve as a stepping stone to more complex creations. Quickly I found some videos on how to make them. Well, here we concentrate on how I put them in the right light.

Just like the wooden hand from my last port I photographed the poodle on the desk in my Airbnb room. First testing some colors and angles. Just to find out what works for the photograph. Also tested the orange and the blue as they also mix nicely and create this awesome purple.

Yellow

To add some intricate texture I used the black fiber brush for some additional effects. This one here is a 37-second exposure on the TTArtisan 50mm lens with ISO 100 on the camera set.

Testing the background

I wasn't sure if to had a background at all. I did play with some color gel but it wasn't working for me this time.

Kind of like it without any distraction in the background.

Here is the one that is most exciting I would say. The final image is a 32-second long single-exposure Light Painting. For this creation I used the TTArtisan 50mm at F22 and the camera at ISO 100.

So what do you guys thing about that series?

Na was denkt Ihr?

I hope you found these images inspirational. If you have more questions please do not hesitate. I am happy to share my knowledge.

If you think this is Spam, why did you read this far, and why the fuck bother you? Move on from your self-righteous mind state and bury yourself. Don't bother about what others may find interesting. Just stay in your bubble and ...

Cheer Up, Guys!

The images are lovely and I love how you made it that one won’t know you used balloons
I love the lightnings too

balloons are actually very good light tools .. great for backgrounds .. but hey glad you like it and your ongoing support is super much appreciated !

A successful experiment.

yeeees .. thank you so much for your support!

Gunnar, wie immer sehr kreativ! Das ist eine witzige Sache! 👍 Das finale LP finde ich am Besten.

Geht mir genauso. Naja passt scho ...

I like all of them, but the last one has something magical in it. It looks like the light is somehow evaporating from the poodle.

Oh, and I've tried to make a balloon poodle ones and it wasn't as difficult as I expected 😊

Maybe I should make more actual balloon animal Light Paintings 😅
