Last Shrine of the Night

Hope you saw some of my impressions from my recent Japan trip in August. Here I want to share the last Light Painting I created during the visit to Kyoto's 1000 Shrines. Climbing Mt. Inari with Ernst and my Camera gear had to be caught in a shot. Just about to be back in the suburban area I saw one last shrine to be fotographed.

But see for yourself.

What happened here?

What you see here is a 27 -Second long Single Exposure, shot at ISO 100 with the lens set to F9. The process was super simple. First; Trigger and then run around the shrine and place the light. Slightly from the side so the texture of the carving of the writing comes out nicely.

Simplicity rocks!

It's tricky to work with extra light effects in historic places. So here LESS is actually More!

Also gilt hier: WENIGER ist tatsächlich MEHR!

Setup

What's interesting in the composition is the tiny little orange gate. To highlight it, it was a bit difficult to reach it nicely. So I am not exactly super happy about the outcome but I see it as a learning process and great practice.

I hope you found these images inspirational. If you have more questions please do not hesitate. I am happy to share my knowledge.

If you think this is Spam, why did you read this far, and why the fuck bother you? Move on from your self-righteous mind state and bury yourself. Don't bother about what others may find interesting. Just stay in your bubble and ...

Cheer Up, Guys!
