Today I share a few more impressions from a recent trip to visit some friends in Görlitz that ended in some crazy adventure. One cool stop was the "Einsiedel".. One can explain that with simple magic. I think it's built for those who still want to be kids once in a while. Yes, that is what the "Kulturinsel - The magic world of the Turisede" stands for in my view.
Heute teile ich ein paar weitere Eindrücke von meiner letzten Reise nach in Görlitz welches in einem sicher verrückten Abenteuer endete. Ein cooler Zwischenstopp war die "Einsidel"... Man kann das mit einfacher Magie erklären. Ich denke, es ist für diejenigen gebaut, die hin und wieder noch einmal Kind sein wollen. So ist es auf der "Kulturinsel - Die Geheime Welt von Turisede"

After a relaxed walk around the entire property we had to decide where we start the night. During our "private" tour we got to see so many hidden gems. The team here builds playgrounds and tree houses. Everything is very artistic and follows a fantasy theme. The them of the Turisede folks who once lived in this region 1000 years ago. So many things to explore and sooo many cool things to light paint.
We decided to start the night Light Painting Adventure at the far end of the property in the magic forest.
Nach einem entspannten Spaziergang mussten wir entscheiden, wo wir die Nacht beginnen. Während unserer "privaten" Tour haben wir Ideen gesammelt. Das Team hier baut Spielplätze und Baumhäuser. Alles ist sehr künstlerisch gestaltet und folgt einem Fantasy-Thema; die Welt der Tursiden. Ein lang verlorenes Volk welches hier vor 1000 Jahren lebte. Es gibt so viele Dinge zum Light Painting.
Wir haben uns entschieden, das Light Painting-Abenteuer im Zauberwald zu beginnen.
The magic forest
All the way at the end of the property is the magic forest. Which will be visited by many during the night. With lanterns and costumes. Kids love it I can tell you.
Ganz am hintersten Ende des Grundstücks befindet sich der Zauberwald, der während der Nacht von vielen besucht wird. Mit Laternen und Kostümen. Die Kinder lieben es, das kann ich dir sagen.
Here is a simple Zoom Light Painting. All I did was run around with a light and zoom in and out to make it appear there more trees. What you see is a 73-second long single exposure at F8 on my 16-35mm Canon lens and ISO 500.
Hier ist ein einfaches Zoom Light Painting. Ich bin einfach mit dem Licht herumzulaufen und rein- und dabei rausgezoomt. Einfacher Weg mehr Bäume erscheinen zu lassen. Was Ihr sieht, ist eine 73 Sekunden lange Einzelbelichtung bei F8 auf meinem 16-35mm Canon-Objektiv und ISO 500.
With a little help from my friends
Then we wanted to do a colorful one for the Einsiedel-team. So as a collaboration Felix, Thomas, and I ran around with each having one color and placing some kicklights on random trees. It wasn't really planned but was life-choreographed in the dark with shouting through the night forest where to go and how long to shed the lights. This tree and that tree, go over there and don't shine into the cameras. Something like that. super fun when you see the result and only then realize what we actually did.

Dann wollten wir auch eine bunte Aufnahme für das Einsiedel-Team machen. Also liefen Felix, Thomas und ich als Team herum, jeder hatte eine andere Farbe und setzte Kicklights hinter die Bäume. Nix war wirklich geplant, sondern ist einfach im Dunkeln spontan inszeniert worden. Während wir durch den nächtlichen Wald schrien wir, wo noch Licht viel und wieviele Bier es später gibt. Dieser Baum und jener Baum, geh dorthin und leuchte nicht in die Kameras! So in etwa. Super cool wenn man das Ergebnis dann sieht und erst dann realisiert, was wir eigentlich passiert sit. Die Magie des Light Paintings!
Was Ihr sieht, ist eine 217 Sekunden lange Einzelbelichtung bei F8 auf meinem 16-35mm Canon-Objektiv und ISO 500. Ja so lange hats gedauert.
The Gate of the Magic Forest
Nadia was guarding or gardening the Gates to the Magic Forest? Anyhow she was "hanging out" between the magic towers while Felix and I shed the lights. This was a fun 123 seconds for simplistic lighting.
Nadia bewachte hier den Wald oder was? Wie auch immer, sie "chillte da" zwischen den Wachtürmen des Zauberwalds, während Felix und ich die Lichter aufsetzten. Das waren spaßige 123 Sekunden für eine einfache Beleuchtung.
Before the night came
During our intro round the Einsiedel team mentioned we may return at a later time to continue our Light Painting exploration. This was such a relief. There was so much cool stuff I would have loved to light paint but there was too little time in the night. Also, I had to back to Berlin (2h drive). Anyhow we are coming back for more! Before I let you go I show you what I mean. Here are some more impressions of what I mean by fun sculptures and all the little artistic details to be found on the property.
Während unserer Einführungsrunde erwähnte das Einsiedel-Team, dass wir zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt zurückkehren könnten, falls wir noch mehr Lust bekommen. Das war ne riesen Erleichterung. Denn es gibt hier so viele coole Dinge, die ich gerne Lightpainten würde. Aber die Nacht war wie immer zu kurz. Wie auch immer, wir kommen für mehr zurück! Bevor ich dich gehen lasse, zeige ich dir, was ich meine. Hier sind einige weitere Impressionen von dem, was ich unter unterhaltsamen Skulpturen und all den kleinen künstlerischen Details auf dem Grundstück verstehe.

Nicht sicher, ob das noch politisch korrekt ist, aber vielleicht historisch. Wahrscheinlich auch falsch, aber wer bin ich denn.
Every available tree log will turn into some fantastic being here. Super enchanted magical place that's for sure. If you come here make sure to bring the kids!
I had a blast here and I am looking forward coming back here. Thank you Danilo, Felix, Thomas und Nadia for making this trip worth while. Loved every minute of it.
Jeder Baumstamm wird hier zu einer fantastischen Kreatur. Ein super verzauberter magischer Ort, das steht fest. Wenn du hierher kommst, sorge dafür, dass du die Kinder mitbringst!
