Kuyalnitsky estuary, Odessa region, Ukraine. Once a popular resort. At the moment, he is very shallow. It is separated from the sea by a sandy embankment up to 3 km wide. The salinity of the water is currently more than 300 ppm. The Bolshoi Kuyalnik River flows into the estuary.

Once the average depth was about 1 m

and now the water has evaporated and salt has appeared in many places:

Vinoy tomu i zasushlivoye leto, i otsutstviye presnoy vody, kotoraya by mogla postupat' iz reki. Uchenyye opasayutsya, chto, yesli ne predprinyat' srochnykh deystviy, samobytnyy kurort Odessy v skorom vremeni i vovse ischeznet.
This is due to the dry summer and the lack of fresh water that could come from the river. Scientists fear that if urgent action is not taken, the original resort of Odessa will soon disappear altogether.
