Chamomile grows in meadows meadows and pastures around settlements along roads across the country. It is an annual herbaceous plant with an upright, up to 50 cm tall stem strongly branched at the top...

The flower baskets are located at the tops of the stem branches. They consist of 12-18 peripheral white lingual flowers and numerous internal yellow tubular flowers. the shell of the baskets is of tile-like oblong ovoid obtuse with a wide membranous edge and yellowish-green leaves. The inflorescence bed is bare and hollow with small pits..

In freshly flowering baskets it is hemispherical and towards the end of flowering it extends to a conical shape. The whole plant and especially the flower baskets have a characteristic pleasant smell and a sharp bitter taste. Blooms from May to August .


Chamomile has anti-inflammatory antiseptic analgesic antispasmodic wound healing sedative diaphoretic action. as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic the herb is used internally and externally in a large number of diseases inflammation of the digestive system - the mucous membranes of the mouth gums throat toothache gastritis colitis (with pain and colic) gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.



The healing effect is due to the essential oil contained in the herb which stimulates the central nervous system and enhances reflex activity. The essential oil consists of chamazulene azulene kadine terpenes sesquiterpenes flavonoids phytosterols glycerides fatty acids mineral salts

Flowers are awesome expressions of beauty in nature. I think you did a great job capturing the beauty of Bulgaria and nature there. I like the internal yellow areas and the texture of them. I like to pick them when i am in Sweden and rub them into mush and then smell the aroma it releases! Thanks for sharing your shots here in the community and keep up the great work.
