Somehow it's 2 months since I returned from Darwin and I'm still not really caught up with photos, so without further adieu let's hit the ground running with some sunset shots.
Sunset's in Darwin are unlike others I've seen, they are long, much longer that I would expect this far North
We managed to see them from the sea, and from the shore, both from Mindil beach, where everyone goes (at least on market nights) but also from Cullen Bay Marina, which is where this shot is taken from - I'm sure the people on the sailing boat where enjoying themselves.
This one was from the boat we were on, there are three or four boats most nights, the 'sail' boat next to us is another one out for a tour.
The biggest thing about Darwin sunsets is this moment, it is actually after the sun has set, I guess technically it's now blue hour, but there is something in the atmosphere that causes these 'rays' to just spread across the sky, the photos don't do it justice, it is truly amazing.
Amazing shots 🔥
