A Walk Through the Husband's Lens

There is something about walking in the woods that relaxes and calms me down, my mind specifically. Cannot pinpoint a single reason but it's always good to be up there - in the midst of tall trees, greens, browns, birds chirping and such. I want to run away today and go to the woods but there isn't any nearby here at the other house. So I improvised😅

Pine needles looking like a carpet

There isn't many dense forests in town, well except those in remote areas. But there are also places which have been declared as a protected watershed so cutting of trees isn't allowed. One of those areas is very close to my father-in-law's house where almost half of the mountain has been preserved so there are lots of trees even along the road.

Today's walk and photographs were by the husband who went out of the house very early (5am) sometime last week (27th April) to visit his father. Because the road leading to their home had undergone repairs and maintenance where one whole section had just been cemented, it is now temporarily closed so no vehicle can pass, not even bikes. So he had to walk, leaving his motorbike at the church grounds along the highway.

He got this view as he started. The fog was still covering the hills at that time. It was early morning after all. The sun was just peeking through the horizon.

Following the timestamps of the photos, this was some 30 minutes later, basically the same spot where he took the above photos of the mountains and the rising sun. What was he doing up there that he didn't move for 30 minutes?

Just as I thought, he said he met Roger along the way and made chismis, lol! It's no surprise because he loves talking to people even those he just met for the first time😅 But yeah, the morning fog is still thick and at 6:44 in the morning, it still enjoys blanketing the hills and mountains.

From there, he called Mr B (the young man who is tending to the farms over there) to come fetch him so he didn't have anymore photos as they headed down.

These succeeding shots were captured when he took a walk back to his bike. The sun has risen and the day was bright.

Along the roadsides are trees. That is largely because it is a protected area. If not, people may have already cut them down and converted the land into farm terraces like here in our place so there aren't many trees around.

Although the trees are not so dense, at least they got more than enough. Did you notice the pine needles carpeting the roadsides? This was where the first photo above was captured. I imagine the husband had to do some magical squat while taking it, lol!

He has a fascination with ferns, hence these ones. Taken along the walls of the road.

He also likes to photograph the sun especially when they are peeking through something. It was 8 in the morning when these shots were taken.

And this view means he was already close to where he photographed the morning fog, hence he ended his walk some 100 meters away, got on his motorbike and came back home. Those structures that are barely visible and peeking through the trees are houses along the main highway. Up there is the local hospital too.

Although I wasn't there physically, it was good to walk through his captures today and share it here on chain as well.

It's the hump day for us and it's really noisy around here with machines buzzing which makes me miss our lil kingdom all the more. Soon, we will have to go back there.

I'm soo jealous reading this post and looking at those wonderful views. People like me living in the city had to pay a dime to experience this. Is this somewhere in Benguet?

That's the cons of living in the city, but also a good reason to get away from time to time.
Yes, it's in Benguet :)

I knew it! It looks like the path leading to Pulag. :)

Yes, most village roads here are like that especially the old roads :)

Thanks for sharing this amazing view with us, though I'm kinda getting jealous already, you have such a lovely places to take a walk unlike here.

Pleasure is mine and thank you for appreciating :) Hope you still find some place to walk on once in a while.

Not really, but I hope I can find such an amazing place like yours.

Every picture is outstanding. I am just trying to feel the environment there. In the morning time enjoying a morning walk in such kind of place would give me a fresh feeling. I wish I were there to feel the environment.

your Husband took a beautiful walk such amazing scenery, I love the sense of mystery with the low fog in the early photos

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk, its my pleasure to host it and see all the posts each week from all around the world, including yours, if you have time visit some of the other walks this week there are so many interesting ones

He did, thank you and the fog scene is quite common here especially when the day is cold.

Always a pleasure to join the Wednesday Walk, many thanks for initiating it :)

How nice that your husband has allowed you to enjoy the forest landscape through his photographs, beautiful by the way, I love how the thick morning fog looks, covering everything, it looks like clouds in the sky.
I also love the pictures of the sun rays through things.

Cheers, have a great day.

Yes, I'd like to believe that he always think about me when taking photos because he knows I'd be sharing them here on Hive :)

Many thanks and I'm glad you like them. Have a wonderful day to you :)

It was a nice walk indeed. I like the carpet of pine leaves and the sun through the trees. I like walking through the woods as well but do not do it often enough. I did go walking recently through gardens with woods and flowers. I invite you to walk through my lens as well - it was truly joyous.

Thank you :) It was really awesome to walk through your lens as well. I love everything😍
