I'm a huge fan of the photos you've shown here, and it's hard for me to choose the best ones. Using additional lighting to brighten the foreground definitely takes these photos to an even higher level. Star trails have been on my to-do list for a while now. So far, I've only tried a single, long exposure at a low ISO, but it's just not the same. I'll give it a try someday :)

Thanks @inmyframe, glad you saw something you liked. Using shorter exposure times of around 15 to 30 seconds then stacking multiple images lead to a more refined, noise free result. If I left my camera shutter open for 5 minutes, the results look a little too noisy for my taste :-)
