Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, is a unique city, it is a city with more than 400 years of history, a place that has seen great heroes pass by and from where great ideas of freedom have arisen, this time I have decided to take a tour of those blocks, streets and iconic places of this city, in order to show all of you a very unique characteristic that surrounds it.
Caracas is a modern city but with a great past of colonial architecture and unlike many others where its historical past is preserved intact in Caracas, a very particular situation arises and that is due to the few conservation policies that throughout the They have been implemented for a long time, many historical buildings have been demolished to make way for large and modern structures, from there arises a miscegenation and architectural contrasts that for any urban planner could seem shocking (wrong) but for the common citizen it is part of everyday life.
It is rare for us to find a large house from the year 1800 and a few blocks to see a tower built around 1980, or to see an 1875 church as the entrance door to a huge mausoleum finished in 2013, even when one sits in the Plaza Bolívar or in the Plaza El Venezolano you can admire in first person that contrast that has its own beauty and that characterizes us as a city. Walking through the center of Caracas always transmits great strength to me, since it is the heart of the city, it is the place where the weight of political power rests and from where those decisions that mark our life as a nation arise, soon I will be telling you many more experiences related to this magical place.

Caracas la capital venezolana es una ciudad singular, es una urbe con más de 400 años de historia, un lugar que ha visto pasar a grades héroes y desde donde se han surgido grandes ideas de libertad, es esta ocasión he decido dar una vuelta por aquellas cuadras, calles y lugares icónicos de esta ciudad, con el fin de mostrarles a todos ustedes una característica muy única que la envuelve.
Caracas es una ciudad moderna pero con un gran pasado de arquitectura colonial y a diferencia de muchas otras en donde su pasado histórico es conservado de forma intacta en Caracas surge una situación muy particular y es que debido a las pocas políticas de conservación que a lo largo del tiempo se han implementado, muchas edificaciones históricas han sido derribadas para dar paso a grandes y modernas estructuras, de allí surge un mestizaje y unos contrastes arquitectónicos que para cualquier urbanista podría parecer chocante (errada) pero para el ciudadano común es parte de la cotidianidad.
Nos es raro encontrar una gran casona del año 1800 y a pocas cuadras ver a alguna torre construida cerca de 1980, o ver una iglesia 1875 como puerta de entrada para un enorme mausoleo terminado en el 2013, incluso cuando uno se sienta en la plaza Bolívar o en la plaza El Venezolano puede admirar en primera persona ese contraste que tiene su propia belleza y que nos caracteriza como ciudad. Caminar por el centro de Caracas siempre me transmite una gran fuerza, ya que es corazón de la ciudad, es el lugar en donde se asienta el peso del poder político y desde donde surgen aquellas decisiones que marcan nuestra vida como nación, pronto estaré contándoles muchas más experiencias relacionadas con este mágico lugar.
