Behind the Scenes of a Not-So-Typical Christmas Card: Chaos, Citrus & a Whole Lot of Fun

When most people think of Christmas, they picture warm candlelight, heartfelt messages, and glittery social media posts.
For our film crew, however, this year’s Christmas spirit came in a slightly different form: boxes of mandarins, controlled chaos, and a political parody no one saw coming.

And honestly, that’s exactly what made it so much fun.

How a Mountain of Mandarins Set the Scene

Every production has its quirky challenges, and this one was no exception.
Before the cameras could roll, we had to:

Bring piles of mandarins onto the set

Transform the space into a festive atmosphere

Stack citrus towers that were somehow both artistic and structurally sound

… and eventually eat our way through the leftovers — for health reasons, of course 😉

By the time everything was in place, the studio smelled like a Christmas market blended with a fruit stand.
A strangely perfect combination.

The Moment “Trump” Walked In

One of the unforgettable moments was when our Trump impersonator appeared on set.
No political agenda, no hidden message — just pure entertainment.
A playful break from the polished, overly sentimental holiday content flooding everyone’s feeds.

The goal was clear:
Create a Christmas card that doesn’t look or feel like a traditional Christmas card.
Something that surprises, entertains, and maybe even confuses a little.
Mission accomplished.

A Wonderfully Chaotic Shoot With an Even Better Crew

What truly made this production special was the energy behind the camera.
Everyone brought their creativity, humour, and a healthy tolerance for delightful chaos.
Together, we built a tiny festive world, turned citrus into set design, and embraced the absurdity with open arms.

Big shout-out to the entire crew — from directing and camera to styling and set design.
It’s incredible how much teamwork, improvisation, and joy go into creating a 30-second video.

Worth Your 30 Seconds

Your feed is probably drowning in “warm wishes” and “holiday magic” posts.
This video is the antidote: cheeky, unexpected, and a little chaotic — in the best way.

If it makes you laugh, great.
If not… well, just blame the fruit. 😉
