Elizabeth Spears Portraiture

One Love7-16-Portrait (1 of 1)-4.jpg
Elizabeth Spears performed at a sold out comedy showcase in Downtown East Austin Texas and I had the opportunity to photograph her performance and snag a quick portrait photo after her set.

Elizabeth has been performing around Texas for sometime and got my attention for her particular brand of dark comedy.

The tools used for this #portrait shot was my go-to portrait lens, the #konica #hexanon 40mm with a black pro-mist #filter, one #speedlite placed inside a gridded #softbox, one bare #LED wand light, my #Panasonic Lumix GH4, and #Adobe Lightroom for #editing.

I'd love to use my 28mm, as the equivalent is about 52mm focal length on my micro four thirds camera setup and I'd like to challenge myself to taking wider portrait shots. I'd also like to try out my 80mm lens because I've always fancied the images that particular lens produces.

The overall aesthetic of the photo was all taken in camera. With a little bit of tweaking in Lightroom I was able to achieve the image I present to the #Hive today.
